This means she is discontent about something, and she sees her mother as someone who's trying to prevent her from doing what she wants in life. The mother should learn to listen to the child, not to give orders or restrict her from experiencing life. I had a friend who was just like that. The kid needs some space to explore her innerself, and through time she will learn to appreciate her mother more.

I think you should talk to your friend and tell her to talk to her mum about it otherwise its just going to get worse...trust me i know, me and my mum always have fights and once we didnt talk for weeks, it was bad.
Then again maybe your friend is really worried about something and tensed so she just takes out the anger on her mum.
Find out the reason why your friend and her mum keep having fights (unless you already know) and then work with that.
If its cuz her mum doesnt trust or somethin then your friend should try to prove to her mum that she can be trusted.
Hope it all goes well
:)

The daughter probably needs psychiatric testing, it sounds as if her 'reality' is not in tune with her mothers, or anyone else.
