I'm about to do a non-destructive `recovery' of my system, but this means losing everything. I can backup `data', no problem, but I have valuable `Programs' I cannot afford to lose. Any suggestions??? Please remember "data" and "software programs" are 2 entirely different things, so I need the help of someone pretty savvy in IT for this question.......?

Why did you turn off your email acceptance. Well, I can answer you here if you would like.

You wrote " Message: **** off you arrogant wanker. Who the hell do you think you are to preach to anyone no matter what they do.

This site is NOT for petty little fuckin wankers like you with an attitude and nothing else better to do, but insult people they don't even know. Find something else to do, you fuckin little haemoroid and find some other way to offend people. You're like a fuckin sad old woman. Get a life.

If I hear from you again, it'll get posted for everyone to see what you are. I'm sure eberyone would enjoy a good laugh........."

And now, my answer to the above email that you sent to me.

So, not only are you a thief, who steals music and movies, you are bordering on the illiterate with such wonderful spelling, but, we'll get to that in a moment.
First off, I am not preaching. I am just calling a spade a spade. Anyone who downloads movies, music or software without paying for it is a thief. Plus you have admitted doing so in past questions you have asked. Just stating a fact there.
Second - This issue is not petty, it is an epidemic. Copyright theft costs honest people a lot of money.
Third - You say this site is not for people with an attitude and nothing better to do. Have you read half of the questions and answers on here? That is beside the point though. I firmly believe that illegal downloading of music, movies and software is illegal, and am trying to do my part in stopping it. So I may have an attitude, but I believe it is a good one. Also, it is not a matter of having nothing better to do, I am trying to help stop copyright piracy, and I think that is a really good thing to do.
Fourth - You are hearing back from me. Do you have enough honesty to post our entire conversation? All of the emails? I hope so.
Now, your spelling. I realize you are a little irate right now, but that is no reason to practice poor writing skills. Take your time, and proofread what you have wrote. It'll make you come off as a smart thief, not a brainless one.

Long Live Jambi

p.s. Did you pay for these valuable 'Programs' of which you speak, or just steal them?

Did U buy the software online or did u downloaded it from the internet?? or did sum1 else install the software for you in your PC??

Well if it's downloaded from the internet... u can just burn the packaged where it came from in a CD.... if sum1 else installed that in your computer well.... pretty much it's almost impossible to get the program out of ur PC.... unless that when it was install a uninstall , install icon was saved on your software folder... so check it's directory ( normally it's C:\Program Files\"name of your software") and find it and if u have both of them in thur just burn the entire folder and once u have done ur recovery on your computer re-run the install process from your CD. This is not a 100% guarateed that it will work but it's the best that u can do to try to save your program.

and if u loose it after all let me know I might be able to help u get it back for free!

All you have to do is reinstall those 'programs' after the recovery. It is easy. Just put the disc that you bought into your cd-rom drive, and re-install them. You do have the original discs, don't you? Unless you stole these 'Software Programs', in which case, you should lose them. Remember kids, McGruff the Crime Dog says ' Crime Doesn't Pay"

If you have downloaded your software from the internet you can just burn a DVD containing all distributive files. As for Windows' applications and their settings you can backup them using the latest version of True Image.
