Truth.

I don't like being lied to.

Religions are really big on insisting they are true and they very clearly are not. At the very least, they can't all be true. That's obvious. But they not only insist they are true when they cannot (all) be so, they insist they be allowed to tell children these fictions and have them believe it.

Until religions are marginalised and no longer have status in the world, honesty doesn't stand a chance and I want honesty.

Whatever religion teaches, it's not honesty or truth. So what is it good for, and should anyone put up with it polluting society?

Almost all of us try to follow our respective religions dogmatically.
We are being conditioned to think that our faith, traditions, religion is the best. Thus we are brain-washed intentionally or unintentionally by our parents, teachers, elders, religious leaders day in and day out. This type of thinking helped us to develop a win-loss mentality which is the root cause of religious hatredness. People say all religions preach love but in practice followers of all faiths hate each other. The reason is we are religious and not spiritual. We must realise that rituals and symbols are not religion. Then only we can tolerate other faiths.

I know that Hindus and Buddhists accept others faith. At least they don't hate.Though I am an atheist I know that many Hindus accept and even worship. If they come across a church,a budh vihar or a durgah they readily enter and offer prayers. In Vailankanni where there is a church you can see Hindu worshippers outnumbering the Christians.
He is taught God is one and omnipresent. So he is able to accept him in any form. Those who ridicule him as worshipping animals etc.. are ignorant of their broadmindedness. You cannot find a race more tolerant than a Hindu or a Buddhist.

Acceptance of difference plagues everything, it's the source of racism, religious intolerance, and hate in general. One reason is people love to be right, and with all religions there is no way to be proven wrong (no evidence for any side), so they are always right. Another reason is that many religions preach that they are the only correct one, so other religions can only be wrong.

The point is that hundreds of people a day are dieing in the name of stupid religions. That's why I don't accept a lot of those ignorant religions that don't have a clue what it is to be Spiritual. Most religions are based on books that some jerk on a mountain wrote because he didn't have anything else to do.

We shouldn't accept other people's faith, since we each have our own faith.

What we should do is to leave things the way they are, minding our own business. You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion.

As for "as long as aperson is good and does not harm u, y critisice him".

We shouldn't complain to him/her even if he/she does harm. I mean, why should we interfere with other's people business that is none of ours?

I would try to answer you but if you cant accept it please don't be reaal angry and sad as you have mentioned in your ? ;
fist let me ask you what is faith?
it is not only a state of mind but it is also is a very power full force which makes one to act consciously or unconsciously so it is very very important to know that our faith is in what and in whom.

if your are clear about your faith fist then you can understand the faith of the others and judge not by their intellectual arguments but by their way of life, because under the sun any thing can be justified.
if you are clear in it you will be always happy what ever others faith may be. but you can understand whether they have the real and full understanding of their religion or with the little and partial understanding of their religion they are arguing.

be happy and pure in all situation that is what the one and the Only God wants form you for this you need clear and holistic approach towards your religion and read and search for the TRUTH in your religious text (holy) book.

I think the best answer is not to try and prove but to leave all faith related questions out from all chats. Let People believe what they wanna and don't question it. As I think it's all a load of money making rubbish you never see people in the church give to the tramps on the street. Greedy. But I don't try and stop people I know from going to church it's up to them if they wanna give all their money to the church rather than their own Kids.

Put it this way if you was born on a island with no one there to tell you about god you wouldn't just start believing in him by yourself so it's not a natural believe your brain washed into it.

You're quite right, of course, but consider this: what will people be more passionate about than their most fundamental beliefs? Many people believe that they can change or even heal the world, if they just get their message to enough people. Unfortunately, too many get confused about the point of what they are doing and feel they must denounce other people's beliefs to have theirs heard. It's unproductive and most people react quite badly to such behaviour, which in turn leads to massive arguments. Reason is key, but too many people have abandoned it. Good on you for speaking up against it.

I agree. I am sorry if I have given any one the impression that I am pushing what I believe down their throats. I believe in Freedom and Free will. I am grateful for my right to worship as I please. My belief is right for me. God loves us all no matter what we choose so why can't we? I was asked by a fellow Christian to pray. I prayed and received an answer that is all. In my culture we Honor the creator in a renewing ceremony. The summer and winter solstice. The regalia is beautiful. Shell dresses, deer hides, feathers, Red headed woodpecker headdresses., Basket caps. We dance all night by the fire. Praying in our Indian language. WE learn of the creation story. We learn of the Creator, Baby sender and Baby Thunder. WE are thankful for fish, acorns, berries, deer, etc, etc, WE always have a "happy dance for the last dance. " I have always prayed for happiness. In my culture we go by a nickname until a naming ceremony. I just believe that Baby Thunder got his name and it is Jesus. The sounds of the shells, the smoke of the fire, the beauty of the dance is something that I wish you all could see. Peace out.p.s. I loved the answer"all righty then".

Anyone who needs to force their religion and beliefs on others is obviously going through some Faith Issues. They need to convince someone else so bad, in order to truly convince themselves. I live and let live. I acknowledge and accept that what works for me spiritually and religiously may not work for anyone else.
