white or very close to.... really highlight your furniture and expand the room, though you would need to do the ceilings a different colour, so maybe white ceilings and very very very pale green

This solution sounds awful, but it really works with both colours: try a deep royal purple. Suggest you only do this on the wall that has the sofa near it as it would darken the room if you did the lot. If you want to make the green 'link up' more obviously. a couple of large plants, palms, yucca, that sort of thing, will do the job. I will give a mediterranean feel to the room

Whites and creams are a good choice. They not only brighten up the place and make it look bigger, but also act as a good backdrop for art & other knick-knacks. Since you already have bright furnishings, maybe that could be the theme of the room....light walls & bright stuff.
