Just meet with him, tell him very gently how you feel and don't forget to mention that you know it takes emotional strength to confess your feelings to the one you love and you appreciate that, but you just can't look at him in that way and you hope that soon he will find a girl that will really appreciate him.
I think that works!Good luck!

Why not email him back and say you are flattered that he likes you in that way but tell him straight...you value his friendship more! Its not being horrible, its just telling him how you feel like he has told you how he feels...he can't help falling for you no more than you can help not falling for him...do suggest you get together with other mutual mates for mate fun sometime to avoid silence and sulking! Good luck

Just b honest wiv him bt don't leave it 2 long, if u say that u like him as a friend then, don't send him a email or txt him sayin that cuz his friends might read it meet somewhere and tell him then and get ur feelings sorted incase he gets the wrong message.

Gd luck!

Say that you do not want to me in a relationship as you don't have the time and if you were in one you would treat the guy badly. And you don't want that to happen to him cause you really care about but at this point in your life you just don't want to be in a relationship right now cause you know that it wouldn't work with anybody! Not just him.

just tell him the truth, boys hate it if a girl lies to them, and vice versa, and they'll always find out the truth somehow, which will hurt even more. Just tell him, you want to stay as friends and you don't think it would ever work out if you were more than friends. You don't want things to change between you...

good luck

tell him that you like the friendship yous share... that should take the pressure off of what he might be feeling and then that way you wont hurt his feelings in the process... when you say that to him, make it a vocal point... I like your friendship and your one of the first real guy friends i've ever had...

Just be nice! Reassure him that you value his friendship but you don't want to be more than that, you could say 'friendship is too valuable to you to risk losing'

Be prepared, he may take a 'huff' for a couple of days while he licks his wounds but it should come good again shortly after - good luck. xxx.

Be honest. Don't ignore the email as he will be waiting for a reply and if he doesn't receive one it will make him feel really unhappy.

just be honest with him. in the end its better for you both. if you were in his shoes, would you rather be told, in a nice way that you must rather just stay friens, or carry on each day, just hoping and wanting for things to be diffrent.good luck
