I have found an entertaining response to bullying to be snappy comebacks. My son is skinny, pale and English in a country of dark skinned people so he gets some bullying for it. My son is naturally funny but help him out with some cool comebacks to these kinds of attacks. Its the way HE wants to deal with it. Turning the table and making the onlookers laugh with a good comeback is a very cool way to deal with people who would make you the butt of a joke. Help out my lad please.

Here are a few snappy comebacks for your boy:

1. Just a guess but ... are your parents siblings?

2. Please .... learn from your parent's mistakes! Use birth control!

3. You ate paint chips in elementary school, didn't you?

4. Somewhere ... there is a village being deprived of an idiot!

5. You're so dumb I bet you have to be watered twice a week!

6. You're so dense, light bends around you!

7. Were you the first in your family born without a tail?

8. You're about as useful as a windshield wiper on a goat's butt!

9. Did you know that you're living proof that manure can grow legs and walk?

10. If you ever become a parent, can I have one of the puppies?

Enjoy insulting to your hearts content!

Its a great idea to have a funny comeback. I think the best thing to do is have confidence in yourself and show it. Also being able to laugh at yourself is a cool quality. For instance I have big ears, well they just kinda stick out more than most peoples. Im fine with it but sometimes its funny to say that my head looks like a car driving down the street with the doors open. Let people know you are happy to be unique, its a good thing! The world would be very boring if everyone looked the same.

I ve always laughed at what they re making fun of me about and done a "snappy come-back" on myself. For instance, I was always tall and gawky as a teen which is no fun if you re a girl. If someone called me "Amazon", I would laugh and say, "Yes and I can reach the top shelf! ... You?" or if they made fun of my hair, I d say "it s the new style! Where have YOU been?". My Grandson is being bullied because he has a large forehead. Not really, but he thinks he does and kids have teased him. A good line is, "Yeah, I know! Cool, huh? I ve been thinking of renting out Ad Space". If you laugh at yourself, you re no longer the target of the joke because you ve taken that power away from the bully. Let s just say I didn t get teased much at school because I never gave them what they were looking for.

It depends if its "good natured teasing" the kids are doing or if its real bullying.

If its good natured teasing, and if you son is happy with who/what he is, he shouldn't let it bother him much. Letting it go by isn't all that bad a thing to do. Neither is laughing at it (again, if its good natured teasing). Of course the "Doesnt your brain have anything on it besides what I look like?" could work too.

If its real bullying I think he should just act confidently, make a disgusted face or grunt that says, "What a jerk" and move on. If he isn't good at thinking up comebacks he probably doesn't have the personality to pull too many of them off too well.

Well in m opinion a comeback would be immature.... honestly you should tell them that you dont appreciate it, and if they dont respect that, they're apparently not as great a friend as you thought.. but I good one would probably be... "If I'm such a d!ck head, why don't you suck me?"

Tell him to ask them what the best joke they've heard is. Have him ask questions about themselves. It'll catch them off guard, and plus, people's favorite thing to talk about is themselves. They'll be so busy telling him about themselves that the'll decide that he's cool and want to be friends with him instead of teasing him.

A snappy comeback is appropriate to a snide comment or question.
The answer to being bullied is to learn to fight and kick someones @$$.

Three words: tae kwon do. It means "way of the hand and foot" in Korean, and there is no comeback snappier than a good triple roundhouse.
