Good question Pancho! Winky Wright is a great defensive fighter and very well could frustrate the great Marvin Hagler who I rate (tied with Monzon) as the 2nd greatest middleweight of all time. Hagler is a very fierce and determined fighter and would definetly pressure Wright and his aggressiveness would be the big difference. Also I don't believe Wright would land enough effective punches on Hagler to keep him off of him. This would be a good fight and I believe that it would go the distance with Hagler winning by unanimous decision.

I saw Marvelous Marvin Hagler in his prime.A friend's brother used to train Winky Wright,so I've seen them both. Hagler would be too much for Wright to handle. He'd have stalked him throughout the ring, punching and waiting for an opportunity to land the big punches. And if you doubt the killer instinct of Hagler, find the Hagler - Hearns fight and watch it again.Possibly the best three rounds of boxing ever.
Hagler knocks out Wright in 5 or 6

wright is a highly skilled boxer and pound for pound may have upset hagler, but wright is not a bona fied middle weight.hagler on the other hand was a middle weight his whole carrer.marvin would be too strong for wright and would pressure him from the first bell til the last.the first six rounds would be tight ,but then it would be all marvin down the stretch.wright simply wouldnt have the power to hold hagler off.hagler wins by unanimous decision.

Wright is great defensive fighter. That being said as good as he is defensively I don't see him beating Hagler. Hagler could box and bang with any middleweight of any era. Wright finishes the fight on his feet because of his defensive skill. Hagler by unanimous decision.

Wow you adult males have not performed your homework in this. do no longer evaluate Hearns to B-Hop. B-Hop is plenty smarter then Hearns. plenty extra constructive defensively. Hearns fought Hagler's combat to declare the least. Bernard might out field Marvin and win a determination. look on the hardship he had with Duran and Leonard boxing him. the only earnings Hagler might have in the combat might probable be one punch ability. Hopkins might have length and attain earnings. B-Hop is 6-a million and Hagler wasn't that plenty taller then Duran whilst they fought in 1983. 5-9 a million/2 tops. Hagler wasn't the main important middleweight around. whilst did you ever see top Hopkins get bullied? Hagler does no longer muscle B-Hop around. in no way. Say what you choose relating to the Calzaghe combat yet Hopkins has no longer been overwhelmed by a southpaw. He might circle faraway from Hagler's left all evening making Marvin impatient. Hagler might have no speed earnings the two. B-Hop's accepted ability set, ring generalship and protection might carry the combat domicile. After the mythical "Sugar" Ray Robinson, in case you relatively look at it heavily, i admire Bernard's opportunities against any of the all-time super middleweights. Any of them.

Hagler - W 62 (KO's 51) TF 67 - W pct 93% - KO pct 76% - wins over Minter, Hearns, Duran, Seales, Briscoe, Mugabi and Hamsho[2] - KO'ed by none - #35 ranked puncher - #17 ranked fighter
Wright - W 51 (KO's 25) TF 55 - W pct 93% - KO pct 45% - wins over Trinidad, Mosley[2] and Quartey - KO'ed by none
As of 2005, he was #5 ranked pound 4 pound current fighter.
If Hagler gives Wright too much respect like Hagler gave to Duran during their bout, that would make this fight close. If Hagler fights like himself, we have an unanimous decision by him over Wright.

I say Hagler would eventualy break him down in the later rounds but I also thought he would do that to Sugar Ray way back when and we all know how that turned out
