well, yeah you cant "lose weight in one specific area. but instead, try toning the muscles. stomach crunches, bike riding and running, and yeah look up excercises for toning. I found that toning my muscles helped to make it look like i had lost weight.

and you're not overweight, you're healthy, according to your BMI. I think you sound fine, people like meat on bones.
Anyway, losing weight is up to you.
Tone muscles and it'll help yo "lose weight" in those areas.

Do you know why people bother to answer these sorts of personal questions? Because almost all of us worry about how our bodies are configured. Too heavy, too thin? Too tall, too short? Wait until you get to too old, from which there is no turning back.

Anyway, I would say that at your height, you could afford to lose as much as 20 pounds before we would start to worry about your going too far. However, the WAY you lose those pounds will make the difference between whether you look good or not when you get to that weight. Somewhere around 110, for example.

If you do it mostly by dieting, you will have a sickly pallor and a lot of neurotic tendencies. You will have loose, flabby muscles and extra skin that is sloppy, not taught. And you will probably have a host of minor physical problems around poor nutrition.

If you do it mostly by exercise, you will have a finely tuned, flexible, healthy and strong body that will do whatever you want it to, within reason. You will look and feel great, and you will be the one who sends out the primitive mating signals to the alpha male.

And if you really want to mess yourself up, imagine if you did it by drugs . . . no, meth is NOT the answer!

There's a difference not only in what you do, but how you do it. In what you weigh, and how you carry it. In how you feel, and how you show it.

yes you are overweight and this is the answer. it might sound corny and overheard but eat right and exercise. these 2 things really help out. eat only when hungry and ration your food. once you have that down then switch to the healthy foods. eat a lot of fruits they are the crystale of food. fish is good because of their omega 3 fats. cook using olive or canola oil. eat nuts during your lunch break. quit sodas...i did and i hate the taste of them now. as for exercise the little things add up. use stairs instead of elevator. take a walk after dinner with a loved one it feels great. do housework youll lose weight and your house will look great. wake up earlier and take a jog before work. you will feel great and work will be more fun cause you are wide awake.

all in all just eat right and exercise but start slow not drastically. losing weight takes time so make a goal. 1 lb a week is the way to go. forget those ads and supplements that say lose 500lbs in 3 days cause they are crap. just believe in yourself and have fun while losing weight. slow and steady wins the race.

first off its a very insecure plea asking for what we think of your weight..... your weight is perfect and is at a good body mass index.... in answer to your question your body is genetically inclined to either gain or lose weight in certain areas more than others so its all in the genes the only thing i can think of to lose in target areas is get liposuction which is a costly and painful procedure

hurmm i think you are pretty weighty..
try to do push up..jog..and lots of exercise..

but i think the main thing here is, did you take healthy diet??u should eat more salads n fruits..
u need to have specific time to eat.You MUST take breakfast.lessen our lunch into half and for dinner..eat cereals ONLY!Avoid supper! NO SNEK during watching TV! you will just add more adipose tissues!!

Try following my advice for a week..if you can keep up with that..make it part of your daily routine!

for your information..i'm 17..153cm..n weight only 40kg..it does work to me!gUd luCk ^_^

Hi Jana,

You sound ok to me but I guess you would probably look better if you lost like another 5-8kg ;)

you don't seem overweight to me, but if you do want to lose some weight, stay off of the refined sugar and refined carbs like pasta and bread. eat more veggies and stay off of the junkfood. good luck.
