Here are the most common wedding invitation wording samples (www.elegala.com):

1. Simple, Traditional Format:

[proper names of those hosting]
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their [relationship of the bride to the host]
[bride's first and middle names]
to
[groom's full name],
the [day of the week] of [day and month of wedding]
at [hour] o'clock in the [time of day] at
[name of wedding venue] in
[city, state]
Reception to follow

2. If Parents are Divorced:

[proper name of host]
requests the honour of your presence
at the marriage of [his/her] [relationship of the bride to the host]

3. If parent is remarried and hosting with new spouse:

[proper names of those hosting]
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of [his/her] [relationship of the bride to the host]

4. If divorced parents are mutually hosting:

[proper name of mother]
and
[proper name of father]
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their [relationship of the bride to the host]

5. When the bride's one living parent is hosting
The invitation is issued only in the name of the living parent:

Mr. [Mrs.] Jonathan Stephen Smith and Timothy Wright
requests the honour of your presence
at the marriage of his [her] daughter
Elizabeth Ann

6. When the Bride and Groom host:

The honour of your presence
is requested
it the marriage of
Miss Ashley Johnson
to
Mr. Paul Wilkins

OR

Miss Ashley Johnson
and
Mr. Paul Wilkins
request the honour of your presence
at their marriage

Alternative "Request Line" Options:

"pleasure of your company"
"honor of your presence" (used instead of "honour" if ceremony does not take place in a house of worship)
"share and celebrate in their joy" another creative idea that reflects the theme and tone of your wedding

On my invitations, I kept the information pretty simple by only putting the Bride and Groom's names. Both sets of parent names were also on the invitation including the date, time, and location.

Do NOT forget the directions to each venue that you are using as I "almost" forgot about it completely when sending out my invitations and was forced to unseal a couple of the envelopes.

I put the sponsors, my vendors, my Reverend's name, and all the other pertinent information in the Program that all of our guests received at the church on the day of the wedding.

Hope that helps.

Many people leave off their parents names because they think including the parents is old-fashioned or because they want to emphasize that the couple are paying for the reception.

However, the names on the invitation do not actually reflect who is paying, or how much they are paying. It's just a very nice gesture to include your parents names. Here's a suggestion:

Mr. and Mrs. Bride's Parents
and Mr. and Mrs. Groom's Parents
invite you to join in the celebration
when their children
Bride
and Groom
are joined in marriage
on Date
at Time
Location

This is similiar to how I worded our invitations. I also liked this wording because the bride and groom's names end up being almost exactly in the middle, which looks nice when those names are made bigger than everything else and in a different font.

Go the american wedding album. They have different versions of wordings. All you have to do is choose a card and pretend to want to buy it.When you get the wordings just copy and paste it onto your template.

You may also condsider them to purchase your invitations. They have some really beautiful one and some select ones that are very reasonable. I got mine there and paid like $51.00 for 100.

Good Luck!
