They would have committed a sin by taking their own lives, but only God can judge their destination as He is able to see the heart and their circumstances.
Sometimes life is so bleak and demons have blinded the persons eyes to such an extent that they take their own lives - the Lord sees all and is just and good and merciful.

Personally, I feel that suicide is an "unforgiveable" sin, simply because after death, you cannot repent. However, I'm a lowly sinner, and am constantly humbled by the mercy of God. I look at it as, "if you have the relationship with Jesus Christ that you would have if you were saved, then you wouldn't commit suicide in the first place". But then, I do alot of stupid things, and the only difference is that they're not as final as suicide. So again, I can only give the situation to God and trust His judgement to be better than my own when it comes to someone taking their own life.

God loves you and wants you to live as his servant. Satan hates you and wants you to think that God doesn't even exist. He wants you to take your life. If you obey Satan you are being his servant. This is unforgivable.
Turn to God, who knows your every pain without him, and cries for your love. He let Jesus be killed for you. Ask in Jesus's name to be forgiven and to live for him.
Jesus truly felt your pain when he was here as a human and was tempted beyond our imagination. He waits for you to let him in. DONT BE DECIEVED.
You are loved...

It is pretty clear, God said He is the only one who decides who lives, who dies. So taking your own life pretty much is clearly wrong.

God HAS to forgive them if he exists (If there's anything to forgive). Even god does not know what it's like to be me. He has no business judging me.
Jesus knew he was god's son. He didn't have to struggle with things like doubt and all. He didn't know what it was like to be REALLY human. So neither god, nor jesus has the right to judge anyone.

The answer depends on the religion/system of the belief of the answerer.
However, it is my personal belief that it's what you do in life that's important--not how your life ends.
