Find the drink called Naked. I find it in my grocery store. There are many varieties but the best one is Power-C. It has 2000% the daily recommended value of vitamin c and tastes good, like thick orange juice. 1 or 2 will knock out the cold in 1 or 2 days, depending on how worse it gets.

mmmmm colds something i can proudly say i no longer suffer from. If you think this is a joke and i cant honestly be serious your wrong.
I used to catch a cold wether it was winter or summer. I just seemed to attract them to me. If anyone near me had one i would be sure to get it.
Colds are very easy to treat if you know exactly what to use.
Firstly let me suggest to you how to KEEP them colds AWAY FOR GOOD.
Take every morning either with food or after (only needs to be a piece of toast if you not a big eatter)
Vit C and Zinc tablets/Capsules.
Vit C Strengthens yours blood vessels, helps with wound healing and is an antioxident. It also boosts your immune system.
Zinc Helps higher your growth and reproduction. It also boosts your immune system to fight of infections and ofcourse cold.
I take one of each every morning and since i started taking these in Feb this year I can honestly say ive not even had the sign of a cold. Hopefully this Christmas will be my FIRST CHRISTMAS cold free. It takes about 2 weeks for the Vits to get into your system properly and they are cheap to buy and easy to swallow. You can start taking them now. If you forget to take one in the morning like i have done before, just take them as soon as you remember.
As you already have a cold, and proberly havent got these vits on you heres some treatments to help you ok. Just pick which one best suits you, but i promise you they all work wonders.
* Keep yourself warm and eat lots even if you dont feel like eatting (espically as your taste buds can play up with a cold). As the saying goes.....Feed a cold and starve a fever. This is very true. Eatting gives your immune system that added boost to fight the bateria causing your cold. It also gives the bacteria something to eat away at rather than your immune system.
* FOR SORE THROATS - Drink herbal Teas made of either Ginger, Peppermint or Eucalyptus.
* Buy yourself some pure essential oils from a health shop they are cheap and i always use Aromatherapy as an alternative treatment. Add 8 drops of either Eucalyptus, peppermint, Clove or Tea Tree oi into your bath and rest in the water while inhaling the Aroma. All these oil help to clear colds and their symptons.
You can also add 5 drops of either into a bowl of hot water and inhale from under a towel for approx 10 minutes.
* Put 5 drops of either of the above oil into a hankichef and carry this around with you. Hold it to your nose and mouth and breathe in the aroma evertime you need to.
* Another thing you can try is before you go to bed Have a Mustard footbath. All you need to do is add two teaspoons of Mustard Powder to Two pints of hot water. Soak your feet for approx 15-20 mintues. This helps to draw blood to your feet, therteby relieving congestion in the head and lungs.
I could go on and on as there are so many Herbal treatments to choose from but see if any of these help you.

THE GARLIC WILL HELP BRING DOWN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AS WELL. IF YOUR THROAT IS SORE AND SCRATCHY CHEW RAW GARLIC THE NEXT DAY YOUR SORE THROAT WILL BE GONE. IT MIGHT STING AT FIRST BUT NO WORRIES, ITS CLEANSING THE THROAT GUS, AND ONLY FOR A COUPLE SECONDS. DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS, AND GET LOTS OF REST. ALSO START TAKING VITAMIN C.

PLENTY OF h2o and SLEEP. you need alot of water because your body will use alot of fluid fighting the cold. SLEEP time equals HEALING TIME, that is when your body heals and recovers the fastest. DO NOT WORK OUT. Good food too, no fast food and eating late. trust me on this . this is all according to my MD DOCTOR!
BTW greg, anything over-the-counter are just to relieve symtoms, and that's it. No such thing as any meds that will make it disappear just like that.
