Your puppy will need to have daily walks, out side. You will always be afraid of getting caught, and your puppy won't be socialized, so will be fearful and unfriendly..It never works...really

I think you'll cause yourself a lot of stress by constantly always wondering when you'll be caught not if. The best thing you can do is either looking for a pet friendly housing situation or find a good new forever home for your pup.

All dogs no matter the breed will make some noise so hoping no one hears it is not going to work.

And to properly care and socialize your pup it's going to need interaction with the outdoors, other dogs, and other people.

Recommeding news housing sounds extreme but that'd be the best. You'll be at a place you're relaxed, you and the pup can be who you are. Your landlord may not come around too often as you said but they'll evnentually find out. You never know when there might be some emergency or repair work that needs to be done.

And considering that the landlord could find out at any time especially when least convenient for you, than you'll be given who knows how much or how little time to remedy the situation..and either be on the streets or forced to get rid of the pup without the proper time to find a suitable home for it. But, if you can't/won't move than the responsible thing it to find it a home where it can be allowed. It sounds harsh but the important thing is the welfare of the pup.

its depends on the pet and the strictness of the association. i've had many pets in non-allowing places without getting caught, half is keeping the pet quiet and half is willingness to look the other way of the association. where i live now there is no pets allowed, however 90% of the condo owners have pets. the president has 4 cats, I have 2 and the girls across from me have a pit bull. however all the people in here manage to keep thier pets extremely quiet so nobody raises a stink about it. whatever you do keep it from barking a lot. if you think you can't then get rid of him or move.

It is not possible to hide a dog not only that but if you get caught having the dog and the owner will not permit you to keep it then what are you going to do. If the other condo owners have pets why can't you?

Don't you think you should've considered that before you got the puppy? What are you going to do if landlord finds out and wants to evict you? Start researching apartments/condos now that allow pets so you have a back-up plan. It's wrong to dump the poor puppy.

You know what I also rent out condo units and people like you are just>>>>>. Don;t break the rule or your kids will think it is OK to lie and cheat.
Give me your dog and I will take care of it till you finish your contract.

You can litter box train him. I have a maltese (5lbs) and I did it with her. You can buy a dog litter box at pet store, put puppy pads in it (cleaner than litter) and train him to use it. Then you don't have to take him outside. He doesnt need to go out to excercise, since hes small he has enough room to run in the house just play with him alot. Also teach him not to bark while hes young.

i had a rottweiller in an apt a long time ago. no one told on me cause they had dogs too. she was very well trained.
i suggest you crate train her to keep her from barking a lot and to keep her from feeling seperation anxiety when you are not with her. but try to walk her as often as you can without getting in trouble!

Well, unless you do not bring him down often for walks and its possible to hide you dog but you cannot possibly control his barks. If your dog's bark is not loud but soft it is still okay to hide him. If it is necessary, do toilet train your dog so you do not need to bring him for often walks.
