1) Tell me what you would like.
2) Where to get it from.

Gents, you can jump in there too. I NEED IDEAS BAD!

$500.00 is spent pretty quick if you're not thrifty!
If you were my man and I had the choice........
* a simple weekend at a bed and breakfast (coupon) would be something to look forward to.
* a diamond cluster ring ($199.00-$499.00) from the Jewelry Channel on Direct TV channel 367, would be real nice.
* an evening/night at a nice hotel with an excellent gourmet dinner with wine, dancing and rose pettals on the bed would be a wonderful memory!
* or doing a wonderful thing for a needy family like
* taking them a few bags of much needed groceries
* paying some of their electric bill/gas bill
* adopt a puppy or cat
* buy her a savings bond...
The possibilities are endless if you step outside the box the media wants you to 'shop' in!
Good Luck

Jewelry. Diamonds. Get her a gorgous pair of diamond earrings. I'm serious when I say dont go to a jewelry store. If there is a really good pawn shop in your area you will be able to get her a much nicer pair for the money than in a jeweler. The mark up in incredible in jewelry stores. If no pawn shop around, then shop on jewelry televison or you can go to their website. The higher end diamond pieces are beautiful, and cost a fraction of what the stores charge. You can find them on the internet also just yahoo jewelry television and you can get to their website and shop for some gorgous stuff. Just be careful not to buy something that is priced too cheap under $200. because the quality of the lower priced stuff isnt that great. And if you dont like it or she doesnt, then you have 2 months to return it. She is a lucky lady. I wish my guy would spend $500 on me!

If she is fun loving then try this, Make it a majic box. Start with a large box put a gift like a portriat of her family in it, or the two of you, cover it then set a slightly smaller box in there, put some type of clothing in it that she would wear, Cover it place another box in it with a box of her favorite candy. keep doing this til you run out of money or smaller boxes. Any Walmart carries frames and all the goodies you'll need.

Collect up your videos of times together. Have them coreographed to music & put onto CD by one of those "Wedding video" people. It shouldn't cost you half. Then put a bunch of wild flowers in one hand, a red ribbon around your neck, and, dressed smartly, wake her on Christmas morning with an "I LOVE YOU" breakfast made by you!

Most women like jewelry...but I always prefer something from the heart. Something sentimental that shows you love her.
