Are you sure you want to put your puppy through the abuse of a 6 month quarantine?

People think that itis so easy to just transport themselves but when it comes to their pets , they forget the extra amount of papaerwork that comes with it.

See this site below for rules and regulations in the transport of animals into the United Kingdom.

If you do decide to transport your puppy after all this, be aware that your puppy might grow up to be a very temperamental dog after 6 months and might not even recognise you as its owner anymore.

If I were you I would contact Emirates and also ( as I assume that BHX is Heath Row ) the UK Department Of Agriculture. I suspect that the animal will require quarantining for 6 months before being released into the country. If there is no reception facilities then I suspect that they will refuse.

Have a look at http://www.britvet.com/pettravel.htm - it's a British company based in the UAE (ie the same country as Dubai).

For Birmingham airport pet travel look at http://www.bhx.co.uk/page.aspx?type=T0NaZj9WNoU=&id=wRfw28EPnHI= - though it's not very informative!

Depending on what Dubai is like, there may not be enough time for the transit of your pet at Dubai. Heathrow, for example, require all animals in transit to be inspected, fed, watered, toiletted, etc, which takes time.

Emirates pet information (on seat guru): http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Emirates_Airlines/pets.php

(John - BHX is Birmingham International)
