Another stupid Christian question. Atheists don't have to prove there isn't a God so you can feel happy. There are so many mistruths and contradictions in the bible that Christians should be embarrassed to push it so hard on everybody.

The responsibility is upon the religions to prove that there is a man living in a cloud. After all that's what they are all about. They claim that a God exists so why can't they prove it. Don't forget that the global religions receive $3 billion a year in donations. They have had thousands of years to prove God's existence and always come up empty handed. What seems to be their problem? History shows over 100 million people have been killed for God. Isn't it time to end the excuses?

I read a book once that had an excellent analagy for this one. How do I KNOW God exists?
Pretend you are speaking with someone who does not know what salt is and has never tasted salt. Now, explain to them what it tastes like without using any form of the word "salt" (because they don't know what it is at all).
The same way you know what salt is and how it tastes but cannot describe it without using a form of the name, is the same way I know that God exists.
No, there is no "proof" one way or the other. It is however very logical. Without control there is chaos. Therefore, if there was no control over the creation of the universe (which would have to be if there was no God), there would be no order to our universe nor would mankind exist. The chaos would have prevented that amoeba from eventually becoming human (according to evolution).

no, because not only do I not believe there is a God I do believe there is no God.
I am calling your bluff. Put up a real proof or shut up.
And the person talking about salt above misses an important point. If I was explaining Salt to you I could sprinkle some in your hand and let you see, taste and feel it. If the salt is imaginary you would be right to doubt me.

god actually violates occams razor because if you say god is the creator then you would still have to explain what created god. if you take out god and say that the universe is self explicable you have the same closure as adding god to the equation therefore god is not needed in the equation you could make an axiom out of this logic statement. I also believe that order is created by physical measuring instruments such as humans animals atoms matter etc to extract purpose...if anything biological systems and atoms are the creators of purpose into a meaningless feeback loop...we are essentually the shapers of our universe

have you seen all the **** that's going around in the world ??? And god (from any religion) is said to be the ultimate GOOD... What i beleive in is that there are BILLIONS of gullible people who would beleive anything just for a little hope. That says a lot about the sad state of the human race...
To think that for millions god is the answer to everything... well it's time he rolled his sleves up and got to work to stop wars, famine, poverty, pollution, climate change, religious fanatics...

I believe it has always been a "slippery slope" error when it comes to that. It does not automatically mean that something is false when a proof has not been given. Save for the justice system of course. I read something somewhere that says something to the effect of: If i believe in God, and in the end, there isnt a God, then I lose nothing... But if I fail to believe in God and in the end there is a God, then I lose everything.

Atheist would believe in God if there was proof. You can not prove something that doesnt exist. However science contradicts the bible and the koran. So its proof that there not the word of God.

its harder for me to beleive that there is some big guy in the sky that made everything... i dont see any proof to the story..... people say the bible is the proof... but to me the bible is just a book.... just because it was written a long time ago doesnt make it true.... if i was to beleive everything i read i would have to beleive that there are wizards and house elves... i read it in harry potter it must be true..... i would rather beleive in the big bang and evealution stuff that has scientific proof that they happened...than i would with a big magical guy in the sky

This question has been asked over and again, alternating between Atheists proving he does not exist, and Christians proving he does exist. Neither side has provided "proof" either way.
Perhaps it would be best to first define "proof" before asking the question.
