I have used this site for both. For silly fun questions and serious topics.
We shouldn't limit it to just one.

I never understood the people who ask dumb questions like.. What would you do if monkeys came flying out of my butt? argh... OR the people who ask a question, and then never pick a best answer... if it was so important to ask.. that is the least you can do.
I think they should have a separate catagory for "fun" just to ask stupid questions that mean nothing.. I know that when I post a q, that it is serious, and I demand serious answers only. I know that on most of my posts, I write alot. I do this because the person who is asking it, may need to hear what I have to say... As far as the "fun", I think there should be a WHOLE catagory for that.

You have to take a good look at the question and then go from there to decide what is fun and who seriously needs some advice or help. In addition, haven't you ever heard the phrase "there is no such thing as a dumb question"??!!

Because what may sound intellegent or stupid to you may sound completely different to the mother or father putting the questions out there.
Yes not all questions are serious. But you know, you can't base your other answers on what some of their questions are like.
That and to be truthful, if that person ask the question out of pure stupidity and we give detailed answers, it might help out some one else.
Sorry that you feel that way about some of the questions, but maybe you should just respond to the ones that you know, and not look into a persons question history.

Some use it for fun. Others use it for serious information (which is usually helpful to someone--even if it's not the origional questioner). As for a waste of time--you usually get out of something what you put into it. True, there are those who think it's a waste. But, there are others (usually a lot more others) who think not. You really need to answer this one for yourself. Good luck.

Yeah, a lot of these are just trolls. People trying to freak you out. Apparently getting their kicks asking stupid questions.
Some of them are fun. Nice sarcasm in the serious answers.
