Try a drug called Mucobid. There are several Im sure that help by loosening things up so it will go down or be easier to get rid of. Guiaftussin...spelling is off. but main ingredient in a lot of cough syrups helps too.
good luck

You are likely to be having an infection in your throat or along your esophagus.
Would you like to try a detox? It will clear the inflammation and bring your body back to balance. When your body is balaneced, all things should be working and thus you shouldn't suffer from abnormal discharges, don't you agree?
I have had many people with strange problems that doctors cannot solve get better after doing a detox.

They sell some stuff called 'mucus relief', you can try that. I think it's more of an underlying problem, and if I were you I would lower your sugar intake, eat more meat/protein, and start taking some acidophilus, vitamin E, and 500mg's a day of vitamin C.
It almost sounds like you may have an allergy to something, possibly mold, which is why I suggest the acidophilus-even breathing in mold spores, which are released at night can cause it. Or eating cheeses, or mushrooms, any food of the 'mold' family, can also cause something like that.

If your throat is a bit sore from the drainage you need to add some yeast. Try eating some yogurt.

Consulting GP doesn't help, maybe you should try an ENT specialist? (Ear, Nose, Throat)
