why is this happening?

its happening in practically every muslim country and even secretly in some non muslim countries. muslims are butchering other muslims for these reasons,

just because they belong to another islamic sect
because some muslims speak out against radicals
and for not joining the jihad

what is the reason for this? and when will muslims on yahoo stop blaming westerners and jews for the reason that muslims murder other muslims in droves?

Its happening because they are following prophet mudbath. He was the original terrorist. Muslim mind set does not allow reason. So if one muslim sect doesnt like another they kill each other.

Its because muslims are not following Islam the way they should. They pick and choose things from the religion. Moreover, they don't have unity among themselves. As you said, one sect hates the others. Infact, there are only two major sects, the sunni and the shia. Sunni being the majority. The ones who fight are completely ignorant of what Islam says and don't realize what wrong they are commiting.

This is the sole reason of the current state of muslim ummah. However, as a muslim youth, I can clearly see a spark in the muslim youth to learn more about their religion and to implement it in their lives. By understanding I mean to understand it through logic and rationality.

Allah says in the Qur'an:

And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided. (3:103)

There is no unity among muslims, that is why they are suffering.

Religion is a highly competitive business. The leaders know that there is no man living in a cloud. They are battling for control. And, the more followers the bigger the collection basket.

Who has the answer to that?.........I'd like to read it......I used to think Muslims were peaceful people.........Of course now that I think about it........Christians are supposed to be peaceful people (which I am a Christian) but some Christians get so carried away and single minded that they think it is ok to kill people for certain reasons........for instance thinking it is ok to kill a doctor who does abortions.......I have to remember to stop generalizing people and groups.........I am really bad at that.
