When I recorded stuff on one, it was fine...until I wanted to re-record over the stuff I had previously recorded. (like a videotape.) How do you get the DVD to the beginning and RECORD RIGHT OVER THE BEGINNING???????

So unlike a videotape, you can't record....then if you don't like it, record over it accidently? You HAVE to erase it all first?

I'd rather not erase the whole disc. Let's say that There is a portion of the disc that has stuff on it I dont want anymore...can I fix just THAT section??

You need a DVD that has written on it DVD-RW...that means it is rewritable. But you can rewrite it only once. It's not like a videotape that can be recorded many times.

when you format the disc you want to format to vr mode. then when you get the disc menu you can delete individual recordings. then any new recordings will go on the end of your existing recordings.

its best to erase the whole disk if you feel theres a problem with it and try again

you need to erase it first then record on it again. you can use your computer to do this, like nero.

video files finalises recording tasks of CD-RW CD-R and of cousre DVD-RW DVD+RW & DVD-R DVD+R.
After video burning finalisation is buffered so that more data burning is prohibated.

You should probably try erasing it first.
