walk as much as you can park your car far away when you go to the mall or class or where ever you would be surprised how much weight you can lose you are right to worry about this while young as the older you get your metabolism slows down and it will be harder to lose. By exercise and eating sensible like smaller portions you will lose weight slower and be more inclined to keep it off. Also research shows eating a big breakfats and smaller dinner and not eating late at night helps a lot. Good Luck and God bless you keep working at it and the weight will come off just don't rush it especially with your medicine

Try not to snack, but if you must, have and apple or and orange or some other fruit/vegetable. Eat smaller portions and try to take smaller bites and chew your food more thoroughly. Try to savor and enjoy the food you eat. Exercise as often as you can. It's important to build up to an exercise program at a reasonable pace, so you'll be more likely to stick w/ it. Even just walking 1 mile a day is a good start. Sodas like Coke n' Dr. Pepper have a lot of calories, so drink diet or, better yet, drink more water. Water is VERY important in having a healthy life. Drink as much Waite as you can. I know there is a LOT of drinking in university life, but try to drink lite beer and/or have a mixed drink instead. Bourbon w/ Diet Coke or Gin w/ Diet Sprite. The most important thing, I think, is to have a realistic outlook and realize that it's gonna take weeks and weeks to lose weight. Don't expect to lose a bunch of pounds in a short time. Good luck.
p.s. It's gonna be especially hard to lose weight rite now, because of the holidays. Shalom.
p.p.s. Is your blood "too" thick or something?

I don't know if you drink this or not but cutting soda out of your diet can help you lose some weight it did for me. But it takes awhile like 6 weeks (or more) to really notice the effects. It was like 3 years ago that I cut it out and I don't even miss it. I am a college student myself and I understand how hard it is sometimes to not eat the junk food as much but if you can try eating less of it that would help. Also I don't know if you can or not but perhaps eating fruit might help a little. Good luck & Happy Holidays!

The safest way to lose weight is slowly, to slowly reduce what goes in and increase the exercise level eg, like riding a bike inside while you are doing something else and outside when you have to do short trips. Do not go mad on the exercise or you will lose fat and increase muscle and increase weight. Get some good advice for a dietian on what you should be eating and do things slowly.

Despite what advocates of specific diets would like you to believe, losing weight is a matter of physics. Total calories in must be less than total calories out. Your options are: to eat less; to exercise more; or a combination of both...it's that simple.
Regarding 'having no time to...', you have as much time in a day as anyone else (24 hours). It is simply a matter of making working out a higher priority...maybe not easy, but the straight answers.
Good luck.

24 ounces of grapefruit juice a day (three 8oz glasses).
This will help you loose 4 lbs every 12 weeks...
I have lost weight using this method.
If you are looking for a fast solution this is not it...but it is easy, effective and beneficial in more ways than one. Besides getting lots of vitamin c, you will loose weight gradually, which means you won't have permanent flab to endure or have removed surgically.
This information I have obtained through an article in Men’s Health Magazine.
I wrote this next article to a gal on yahoo answers forum in an email:
Basically I just took the article I read in line at the market in Men's Health Magazine for what it was worth...face value..three 8 ounce glasses each day...no matter what kind or when....I can relate some stuff to avoid through experience...the stuff you might find in the can that you have to add water to thats frozen (called pink grapefruit juice)...avoid it...it's very bitter and not paletable at all...the best kind is the stuff in the half gallon carton in the refrigerated section of the supermarket...get Sunnyside Farms if you can...it's ruby red grapefruit juice from concentrate...but it's not too expensive...only about $2.50 a half gallon...some stores like Safeway only sell the squeezed stuff (ruby red as well) and it can get pricey...like $4.50+ a half gallon *shudders*....thats cool in a pinch...but I wouldn't stock up on it...grapefruit juice basically carmatizes your digestive system (makes things right) and supresses appetite in a manner that is beneficial/acceptable to the human condition in my experience/opinion...but that doesn't mean one needs to throw common sense out the window and continue to eat things like burgers etc. in excessive amounts...try to eat lighter...with grapefruit juice you will find this can be accomplished in a comfortable manner...I would suggest to drink as much of the stuff as you can (over 24 ounces per day if you feel comfortable with it)...this is one case where it seems more is better....good luck..

Hi! I understand how you feel because I have had weight issues off and on during my life as well. I would suggest you look at http://weightloss.about.com/About_Weight_Loss.htm at About.com which I think has some of the best resources on how to eat healthy.
Good Luck!!!

Eat more proteins like chicken and fish...drink more WATER because the the water will help you digest the food better. Try to cut back on the CARBS like candy , white breads , fruit juices ...
Also watch your salt and sodium intake, because sodium will make you retain more water...that's NOT a good thing.
Good Luck !!!
