ringo: I'm a christian and I AGREE with you ! There is some bad theology out there. The Holy Bible - the world's most ever sold book, does not say people either, will burn nor deserve to burn for eternity in a "hell" fire. This is a misinterpretation of this Book. Hell in the Old Testament (O.T.) was refered to in the original Hebrew as "Sheol" which translated into English means simply, "a pit or a hole". In the New Testament (N.T.), which deals with Christianity, the rendition is from the Greek word "hades", which translated into English means "death". Interesting enough, "Hell" was invented by the early Egyptians and later, employed by the Greeks to exercise control over the masses by instilling fear. "Hell" in the Holy Bible is not a credible word, but a misinterpretation leading to some very bad theology. God sent His Son, Jesus into the world to save it - not destroy it ! In other words, God is in the SAVING business not the destroying business with His creation. God is LOVE and a loving God wouldn't be roasting people forever because they never had a chance to know about Him i.e. Billions in Asia never heard of God or Jesus Christ ... would a loving God of have created people over there to burn them forever? This isn't the Jesus I serve ! Jesus said, " I have come to give them life" !

I'm with you, Ringo. That is exactly why I don't believe in Hell and one of the many reasons I believe the Bible is a book written by man, not inspired by god.

I could NEVER condemn anybody to eternal torture for a lifetime of sin. Ever. So I am either more forgiving and compassionate than God, or Hell does not exist. I choose to believe there is no Hell, but apparently a lot of people are more comfortable believing you and I are more forgiving than their God. Imagine that.

I don't beileve that anyone should burn for eternity, not one, and definitely nobody "DESERVES" it.

The devil is the one who thinks you deserve to burn for eternity because God only created Hell for the devil and his demons... Since that day they have been busily expanding it whilst spreading as many lies as they can to distract you or even cause you to hate the truth, WHICH is Jesus Christ, who died and rose again in power, and wants to see you in Heaven that was why He paid the ultimate, sacrifice, went and took the keys to death and hell so you don't have to go their so He, can say WELL DONE RINGO, YOUR WITH ME...

Obviously you've missed the point!

Does anyone ever actually read this Book before making such ignorant statements?

You are in good company. God doesn't believe it and the Bible doesn't teach it--it is a misrepresentation of the scriptures and a lie.

So, you believe that sociopaths, psychopaths, etc. should exist in heaven unreformed.
There is some form of evil that seems to exist in the world and I definitely don't want it going anyplace with me!
