Milk is good for you but; you need water too. You need it because the baby is living off you and the baby needs it because it is growing. I don't care much for water either but; you need to drink it. Drink bottled water if you can't drink from the tap and get a flavored one if you don't like the taste.

I understand your problem. I went through this problem during my first baby. But pregnant women or women in general need to drink plenty of water because we are prone to UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) Taking milk in place of water maybe fine but for sure you wouldn't want to gain so much weight during your pregnancy. There are milk in the grocery stores especially made for pregnant women. But my OB advised me to take it twice a day only. You need at least 8 glasses a day. So I suggest you drink a glass of water by holding your breath. This way you don't taste the water so much as when you take it slowly. I've been through this plenty of times already, and it worked for me. I hope it works well for you too. Good luck!

Milk doesn't keep you as hydrated as water. Try adding something like Crystal Lite to the water so it's easier to drink.

You really do need to drink a lot of water when you are pregnant.

Questions like these should be posed to your doc. He or she can give you the dietary guidelines you need. Until he or she tells you otherwise, continue drinking water. The baby needs it.
