Just say they're cousins! In the west they have all this second cousin, third cousin business but here in India, cousins are considered almost like brothers and sisters - don't we call them Bhai or Didi? Which I think is so nice and warmer than the 2nd 3rd whatever.

In central and north India they would be called (chacheri or mameri) sisters; however, cousins in English... in fact they are in the same blood line that is why we consider them sisters... concept of cousins is not an Indian philosophy, it is a foreign school of thoughts...
