Do animals feel pain ? Like me and you ?

In an earlier post: "even trees feel pain" - Wow that's a rather neat trick for an organism with no nervous tissue!
But seriously, I'd go with Christianity - they are quite certain that the earth and everything on it was given to them for them to reign over, munch on, and otherwise abuse.

Don't eat meat labelled 'halai' (Muslims) and whatever they called for the Jewsih version. Animals die a painful death with a signle slit of the throat......
Rest of commercialised meat, killing is more humane but inevitably there is still pain.
I try to eat anything out of my mammal species and stay away from 4 legged like pork, beef etc.
Two legged like birds since they are not mammals and occasionally some two legged dirty politicians too ..yummyyy..........
Start your own religion....like Meaty Savour Sect.....

Hinduism - you shouldn't eat beef
Buddhism - some don't eat meat, some do
Judaism - don't eat certain meats (shellfish, pork, camel, etc.)
Christianity - eats all food, as long as it isn't to the detriment of someone else.
Islam - doesn't eat pork (probably other meats, not sure)
Sikhism - eats anything to my knowledge
Jainism - don't kill animals, but can eat leftover meat
Taoism - most probably eat anything from what I know
Confucianism - most probably eat anything from what I know
Shinto - most probably eat anything from what I know

There is no connection in religion and eating meat.
Today everybody of every religion eating meat.
Yes ofcourse animals also feel pain they are also living.
Even Trees can also feel pain but they can't say

well i am not a jew but i think you should consider it they are koser and they kill animals in certain ways so that they do not fell pain...also muslim...you just cant eat pork and i think every other reilgion eats pretty much all kinds of meat but look into this first......

I think they feel pain yes, but do they feel the pain and suffering of other people.
