If I were to give my girlfriend/fiancee an engagement ring, and later we were not to get married. Should she return the ring?? At this time I am the only guy being viciously attacked by females saying that the ring is theirs for services rendered.

when saying I was being viciously attacked, I was being faceitious, I do work work with primarily females and they seemd so vehement in defenses of keeping a ring for engagement. To me if you give aring for the purposes of marriage and that does not happen. The ring should be returned.

yes, she is required to give you back the ring since the ring was for marriage. ..the marriage didnt happen, therefore you are entitled to get your ring back. that is the LAW.

I think it depends on why you guys wouldn't be getting married in the future. Such as, if the reason for the breakup is the girl backing out, then she should return the ring, but if it's the guy, in this case you, then she gets to keep the ring. That what I would do.

It depends on how the break up is. i mean if the two ppl are still friends they might just come to a compromise and decide who should get it with no hard feelings...if not then that has to be left to some level of fate...the ring always knows....

The ring was a gift. Would you give back your gifts? Besides, since you GAVE it to her, the law says it is hers.
