Ok, heres the deal, my mother has everything that you can think of, she don't ask for anything or even hint at anything for that matter, the only thing that she collects is candle holders, but if you seen her house you wouldn't get her anymore..

I also have a mother that has everything.. and every year for the past 4 years ( my oldest son is 4) I have given her a DVD slideshow of my son's growth over the past year. Starting with Christmas, and ending with Thanksgiving, she gets to sit in front of the TV and watch the kids grow up every year. If you don't have kids, then do it with pictures of you and your siblings as children. Back it to some nice music, and make it a progression of your life as kids.

She's a mother, she'll love it, and she'll probably cry.. my mother does, every year.

Both my mom and my mother in law really like photos. Even if you don't have kids - go out and get a nice photo done of yourself somewhere at like an Olan Mills. A nice down to earth photo that is high quality is something I think most moms just cry over. If you make a book of photos of different things you did in a year - that's nice too. Last year, I got my mom this great Sharper Image photo album that lets you record voices on every page for playback. If mom is far away and you dont' see her alot - now that is the best gift - with your voice and everything!

How about a bottle of her favorite perfume or a gift certificate for a movie or dinner out? Does your mom have any other hobbies like sewing or knitting? Buy her some supplies for her hobby. Does she like to read books? Buy her a couple of nice books or a gift certificate to a book store or www.amazon.com. Or get her a gift certificate to go to the beauty salon to be pampered with a facial or a manicure. Good luck!

If your mother is anything like my wife she really doesn't need or want anything for Christmas. What she really wants is to for all our children and grandchildren to get together at our house and have a wonderful time together. She wants them to spend their hard earned money on their own children and to watch them open the presents.

Give her some of your time. Make up tickets that list things your mom likes to do and do them with her. It could be something as simple as planting some flowers together or reading poetry together.

Get her candles.........they burn off and leaves nothing behind....unless if she can't bear to burn them and keep them. How about getting her another pair of earrings.
