Stop apologizing for doing the right thing. Call ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement). They are in the pink government pages of your phone book. Better to report the employers who are hiring the illegal workers, though. Don't listen to the people who have posted answers here who would obviously rather support illegal activity. Every time an illegal worker is hired, we ALL pay for it in one way or another. Stand up for what is right and make the phone call. You don't have to give your name, but the more details you can provide to ICE, the better.

I call ICE frequently, as my community is being overrun with illegal workers, to report the companies that hire them. How do I know these workers are illegal? Because I speak Spanish and ask them questions. And yes, there are also non-Latino illegals being hired. I don't have to speak 487 different languages to see what is going on.

Anybody who asks a question like, "What did these people ever do to you?" is either a totally ignorant, an illegal themselves, or too young to be a taxpayer. MAKE THE CALL. Patriots don't look the other way - and neither should you.

"as a results of fact the Davidson County Sheriff's place of work instituted an immigration enforcement software in 2007, the flowers and fauna company issued 820 citations in the county yet took purely 29 human beings to reformatory — all of those immigrants." did no longer say what variety of immigrants. "An company spokesman initially pronounced officers do no longer take human beings to reformatory for fishing without a license. shown records that show in any different case, a distinctive good pronounced the arrests have been relatively made as a results of fact the fishermen weren't wearing valid id." So 820 human beings won citations yet purely 29 have been taken to reformatory and "all" have been immigrants? some thing sounds fishy there. No the place in the object does it state that they have got been unlawful or what united states of america they have been from, so, by deducing that they have got been immigrants all and sundry right here thinks they have been unlawful? i'm an avid fisher person. there have been cases the place I relatively have left my licenses in my motor vehicle to make useful that they did no longer get moist or broken whilst close to the water. Yep, i'm a klutz on occasion. So, i'm useful they gave the "American" finding fishermen a gamble to bypass to their autos to get their data or basically enable them to bypass with a warning. they did no longer take them to reformatory. So, is this data of racial profiling? specific. replaced into it warranted to look for out purely those without valid identity? No. If we will base assumptions on immigrants that they are all unlawful and profile purely those that look distinctive than the prevalent public we are used to, then the civil rights that maximum of fought for replaced into for naught. be certain you all don't have too dark of a tan, you are going to be profiled. All you black human beings extra constructive be careful, i've got self assurance you may properly be next.

No LAWS were broken in Vandel's circumstance. It was a madrid of US Homeland Security Officer's at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, NY the night of June 28th, 2006 that did NOT know their own laws. These Federal Officers were so paranoid that they forbid another American citizen from entering her OWN country.
She and her husband were escorted BACK to the Canadian boarder with hand on gun.

Never in a million years did I ever believe something like this could happen to an American citizen. They refused me entrance to my own country, even knowing my minor daughter's were waiting for me in Minnesota...all because I was married to a Canadian man. Being married was our only crime that night.

The only illegal activity going on that night was the harassment and denial of my American rights as a US citizen. These Federal officer's need to go back to school to learn the laws.

Before you make that phone call, please think through every aspect of the circumstances of the lives you will change forever in one phone call. Which side is truly in the wrong?

I live with the detriment and regret that one phone call can damage so many lives. Please really think about what it is that is bothering YOU the most about their circumstance.

I'm not telling you what to do in this...just wanting you to really really think of the consequences and benefits to each situation.

in response to one of your additional details: you know, lots of people find it so easy to say illegals should just go through the entire process of coming here legally, but what they don't realize is that many people fleeing to this county simply don't have that option. life or death is a choice many must make daily. if it was so fricking simple to get here legally, don't you think that more people would be doing it that way?! the fact is not everyone lives in the comfort or safety we are so blessed with in this country, and no one has the right to prevent someone from saving their own life and that of their family.

Don't do it... -- This is not specifically targeted at you... ;) But more so a general awareness to what may really be going on behind the scenes... and there is a 'slim chance in hell' our family will be spending anytime together for a very long time. The laws are extremely strict, and in regards to persons that do not wish citizenship, they are harsh beyond the crime. I would strongly suggest you educate yourself on the ramifications of the Immigration Act of 1996 in regards to 'legal immigration'... pushed by Newt Gingrich.

Migra --- As far as whining, this is reality... and it would help if you actually determined that I broke the law... instead of accusing that the law was broken, again before a biased bigoted assumption was made. I was well within travelling rights, freedoms and privileges of crossboarder travel without violation of any laws... Stop assuming everyone that comes into your country is an 'illegal' alien. And that everyone who whines, has actually done something wrong. Homeland Security is perfectly capable of targeting people, they've done it to me twice... with such words of wisdom... "Marry someone from your OWN country!" What is it with you people? Thought the US was the land of equality? So far I've seen anything but regards for civil rights and civil liberties to be treated fairly... Shoot now, and don't bother asking questions... I get it already.

-------------

What if I told you an 'illegal alien' could simply be a Husband to a Family, that resides at home helping his daughters with homework, cooking meals, cleaning the house, taking care of his Wife, and his family, acting as daycare, and attempting so hard not to do anything wrong that the sheer act of being a good father, is considered illegal, because he spent too much time with his family. How can spending too much time with your family be considered a crime? The use of illegal is far too widespread.

Not everyone wants to be an American Citizen... Not everyone wants to live in the so called Land of Opportunity, and some people are wise enough to realize that the US is not all it's cracked up to be. Some of them might realize that the simple act of residing, never leaving the house, provides 2 children a stable home, and prevents them from becoming latchkey kids... Some of us are just trying to support our family until they can leave the United States. Reporting us, banning us, and otherwise just makes a mess out of something, that wasn't really 'wrong' in the first place. Not everyone wants an American Job, not every person in the US wants to be there, some of us don't have a choice, or our families do not have a choice. There are other ways to be in complete passivity nothing but a parent who exists for the privilege of being there for his children.

Would you be able to explain to the girls why Dad can't come home anymore because he's been permanently banned from US soil? Will you pay for the counselling fees for my Wife and Children? Will you be there to help them with their homework when they fall behind in their studies? Will you be there to catch the tears as they cry themselves to sleep? Will you be there for them when they come home, so they aren't alone because Mom in the greatest country in the world can't afford Daycare, Medical Insurance, and still afford the basic necessities for life? Do any of you really think about what you do when you ponder these things?

Not every immigrant is a drug dealer, not every immigrant is a murderer, and not every immigrant is a bad person, not every immigrant is working, not every immigrant wishes to go to school... not every immigrant wants to take anything away from another American... some just want to be in the company of their family to watch their children grow up. How many of you know the statistics for what happens to children when they grow up with a single parent? How many of you truly understand the repercussions of what it is you're all suggesting? I would strongly reconsider, and rethink...

I am one of that Dad's that has been permanently banned from US soil for being nothing other than a Father... I spent too much time with my family, doing nothing other than being a Father, and Husband... My Wife is barred from Canada... I suppose I should do what the Homeland Security Officer suggests and abandon my family, divorce my wife, and leave my children fatherless... would that make you all happy?

All of you need to grow up... and realize these are the lives of women, and children, and real people, you are planning on messing with, that likely have done nothing 'wrong' to you or the people around you other than just 'be'. You had best make certain exactly what it is you're doing, and make certain this person has alternatives to the situation and that they're not in a situation like this.

I am looking at 7 years before I will have a chance to see my Wife and our Children again... by that time... the oldest will be a Driver, be in high school, likely have gone on her first date, and plausibly be pregnant because I wasn't there to support my Wife raising the children. Our youngest will likely have suffered deep depression, anxiety, stress, and been forced to repeat several grades of her education for lack of the assistance she needs, as she has severe learning problems. The school counsellors have documented this, and they know I am needed there... but I am not allowed because of great people like you...

My wife will have had to endure 7 years without her husband struggling and under the constant threat of the State taking away her daycare, and any funding she receives for assistance just to keep a roof over their heads, while we struggle away with lawyers, government officials, and 'wait' as you all suggest for either of our governments to permit one of us into the other's country. This isn't even the beginning of the hole that is created by ponderances of this type... not to mention the small fortune of money it just cost us, that typically amounts to sending a child to college...

The irony of this? It's all because two people fell in love... from two different countries... divided by a line that doesn't exist except on maps, forbidden to be with each other, because everyone so readily throws around, 'illegal alien', when they don't have a clue what is driving the situation... not that any of you would even read this, because none of you really care about the lives you destroy...

Thanks for your compassion and understanding to another group of human beings just trying to exist... and thanks for destroying the hopes and dreams of our daughters, as well as our lives... thanks so much for touching us in this special way... for being the great people you are who deem us 'illegal'... I appreciate it, my wife appreciates it, and I'm certain our daughters are just ecstatic that you've disrupted their lives, likely permanently...

Have a good night...

I guess the problem people have is, nobody likes a snitch.....Unless someone is committing a real crime, like murder or rape, its really not something you should get involved with.....What if the person you report, isn't even illegal?
