I used a hydroxy-acid at home peel on my face for the first time.. apply generous layer, leave on 10 minutes, then rinse. I did and my skin was nicer, but my face stayed a little red for 5 minutes...

so now Im wondering if you can leave the peel on a problem area, like a scar, for a few minutes longer than the rest of your face for a better results on that spot. or is this a bad idea, anyone know?

alpha hydroxy acids are mild, they're naturally occuring fruit acids. I say yeah, it's not gonna burn your skin or anything. Ive left spot applications of this type of stuff on my zits overnight b4 with no undesirable effects....tho it didn't make a huge POSITIVE difference either.

it depends on the strenghtht of the acid. but dont keep more than 10 minutes. only thing u can do is rub it lightly on the scars.

keep your funds & see a dermatologist. Retin-A can help even pores and skin tone & decrease easy pimples scars via stimulating collagen production. homestead chemical peels & microdermabrasion kits are reliable for exfoliation yet i think of you will get extra effectual effects via seeing surgeon.
