I am not sure who "they" are but there are always groups of people who want to elliminate averything from guns, to alcohol, to hunting, to gasoline engines. There will always be people wanting to do away with something they deem to be evil. So sure, it's true and so what? The ability to accomplish such a feat is out of the reach of most mortals and even most armies (see Iraq) when the guns are already in the hands of the people.

Yes, there are organizations that continuously submit legislation with the intent to completely ban firearms except for government agencies.
There are very few countries now where you can legally own a firearm. Many of the countries that banned personal ownership of firearms has experienced elevated crime rates. However, the citizens are totally exposed with no defense.

of course it is true, and it will eventually be did because so many people will believe the propaganda the elite organizations will spew out, just remember it is for their protection not ours, once all of the guns are confiscated they can and will do what they want to do with us, has any of yo seen the movie solient green? the world can and will become that way once the people are in a position where they don't have a say about things in the country or world , and guns in the hands of the people are the only way to prevent this from happening,

Well I'm not sure who "they" are but not that's not true. The right to bear arms is in our Constitution and its not going anywhere. Lots of people think that just because the government puts some limits on who can have guns and what kinds of guns they can have that they are trying to do away with guns altogether. I don't know about you but I'm glad that convicted felons can't have guns and I'm glad that guns specifically made to kill people are illegal.

Yes, this is true, so that only the tyrants and their subservient deputies will be armed to rule over all the world. This is a pipe dream which they hoped for, but will NEVER come true.

I have not heard this exactly. I can tell you this, I won't give up my firearms, period. The NRA watches the climate globally and keeps track of legislation not only in America but in other countries that might have an effect on America's laws.

I don't know about your grandpa, but my grandpas, both, tend to tell outlandish tales, of turning minnows into whales(lol)... it seems to me your grandpa is maybe not making up a story, but thinking that groups that are against guns are going to get rid of guns worldwide.

Just so it's out there: Clinton, Koffi, and the other muppets at the UN have discussed--very openly--about outlawing small-arms.
