Try the Gospel Mission or St. Vincent's which is usually run by Catholic Charities. Sometimes you can find the info you need in the yellow pages under Charitable organizations, etc.

The church community will usually help a member in need.

You should ask your church. By the way most charities give help to people of any religion.
