I get a squealing sound from the engine after it
runs for about 5 minutes, sounds like a belt noise
If I take the oil fill cap off, the noise goes
away but engine runs terrible, like a vacumm leak.
When I put my hand over the fill hole it gets
sucked tight and the engine smooths out. Ive heard this engine had some manifold problems, but
I thought they pertained to coolant leaks. The
squaling noise I'm hearing sounds like it is coming from the rear of the motor down by the exhaust. Ever heard of this problem? Thanks for your time

there is not any additive of any style, by any skill, which will confirm a failed intake gasket on that engine, era. the only restoration for that gasket is to swap it and flush out all of that witch's brew Dexcool coolant out of your cooling device and replace it with the rest. i prefer to propose (and use) G05 coolant, yet something is extra helpful than Dexcool, that is what disintegrated your intake gasket in the 1st place. That being reported, it may or won't be on the topic of your driveability undertaking which sounds extra like a lean misfire undertaking that is first addressed with a clean gasoline filter out and an injector cleansing. yet while the intake is gasket is leaking coolant right into a cylinder (not uncommon on that 365 days engine) which will additionally clarify your misfires. sturdy success.

First off, make sure that oil cap is sealed on properly. Secondly, check your air filter. Is it loose from the throttle body? It could be a bad belt. You may also want to check your. This isn't related to your heat by chance is it? Does your heat turn on? If not, take some wd-40, and spray the little round motor on the passenger side of the car, underneath the glove box. Hope this helps you out just a little bit.
