Here is some that I went and got for you. Hope there is at least one of them that you can use.
French Onion Soup
6 tablespoons butter
8 medium size onions, sliced thinly
4 thyme sprigs, leaves stripped
1/2 cup sherry
4 cups brown chicken stock
2 cups veal stock
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
French bread croutons
2 cups grated Gruyere cheese
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, add butter and melt over medium heat. Add the onions and lower the heat to medium low. Add the thyme leaves and cook, stirring frequently, until the onions start to turn golden brown, about 25 minutes. Add the sherry and cook until the sherry is almost completely evaporated and the onions are brown, about 15 minutes.
Add the stocks and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer and simmer for 30 minutes. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Ladle the soup into 8 oven-proof soup bowls. Place the soup bowls on a sheet pan. Place the croutons on top of the soup, to cover. Top each bowl with 1/2 cup grated cheese. Place in the oven and cook until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly, about 10 minutes.

3 large onions
cooking burgundy
beef stock
water
granulated garlic
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Thinly slice your onions and caramelize them in the oil...that means saute them slowly so that the sugars come out and brown well. The onions will turn a nice brown color when they are ready and will be soft. Add about 1/4 cup of the burgundy and let cook till almost gone. Add the beef stock and garlic and salt and pepper to taste. You can serve with any store bought croutons and grated mozzarella cheese.....Mmmmmm!!!!

take a couple of nice round onions.. slice into rings
fry up in litte butter till they turn golden (carmelized) this takes a while. like 5 min
using 4 cups of chicken, beef, or veggie broth or boullon cubes with water, pour over onions in sauce pan
add salt, pepper, and a couple of tablespoons of worchestershire sauce
buy some sort of white cheese.. I just use mozarella..
either grade it or just slice it..
toast some round slices of bread (submarine sandwich buns are great to slice thick rings from) toast them slightly. plop into the soup, sprinkle the cheese over this
microwave slightly till cheese melts..
if you can find them, use oven proof soup bowls and put a huge slice of cheese that draps slightly over the edge of the bowl and put under broiler. when the cheese browns and drips down the bowl.. it makes for a yummier toastier tasting soup.. but I havent been able to find them yet...
enjoy..
