what have they done to me. gee lets see. i had a job making $10 an hour, but thanks to an illegal that wouldn't keep his hands to his self. i had to knock the fricken hell out of him because the company wouldn't do anything to him. i ended up getting fired and the scumbag kept his job. so now i'm doing a job americans as you put it wont do. i'm making $5.50 an hour now. i work in a hotel. and there is no mexicans there. thank god. and no i'm not racist. they are making it very easy for americans to dislike them.

Big business rules the West and if business can put more money in their own pockets by encouraging the government to look the other way while they hire poor desperate immigrants to work for lousy peanuts... at least their profits will be bigger. Racism comes from frustration. It starts with some people feeling their lives are worse because someone else is doing better.
But business doesn't give a rat's behind if American-born workers are unemployed. They call for more and more immigrants to be allowed into the country so that more and more people spend, spend, spend. It's the circulation of the money that motivates them, not love of country, not loyalty to fellow citizens and not ethics or morals that Americans hold dear.
It's the almighty dollar going into big business's pockets that makes the world go round and makes sure some get it all while others get none ... and resent each other for it.

Racist towards Mexicans? Nobody mentioned Mexicans as being some bad group!! Everyone is reffering to the ILLEGALS!! The real question you should ask yourself, is why you are so anti American, that you would consider employing an illegal alien based on a total cop out lie, instead of employ an American and be fair?

It is NOT racism towards the Mexicans, although that is what they will tell you. It is about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!!
Americans would do those jobs for higher wages. Remember, most Illegals get paid under the table and don't pay taxes or Social Security so they can afford working for less $$.
If Mexicans want to do these jobs, then they should adapt to the American way of life, learn to speak English and become a US Citizen!!! Other immigrants who came to the US have!! Why can't they??? End of story!!!!

You know what... you are the umpteenth person to ask this question. But since you asked...
Why must you always resort to the race card? Do you see mass lynchings of Mexicans by Americans? In fact it is gangs doing all the race hating and lynching if you go to the suburbs of the southwestern states. And again... MEXICAN is NOT a RACE, it is a nationality (just like American or Chilean or Russian).
I have no problem with them as people, I only have a problem with them as LAW BREAKERS. Laws cannot just be broken miss... no matter what the reasons. And when you think about it, its the blatant disregard for law which has made Mexico a hell-pit worth abandoning.

Most people have no problem with Mexicans. What most people have a problem with is people (and most of them happen to be Mexican) who come to our country ILLEGALLY. Laws are made to be followed, not broken. When a Mexican crosses the border without the proper documentation, he (or she) is committing a felony under both American and international law. Same goes for any Asian, European or otherwise that crosses into America without the proper papers. It's not about race, it's about the legality of the entry. It only seems to be about race because most of the people who enter illegally happen to be Mexican.
Please re-read this part of the statement again... "he (or she) is committing a felony under both American and international law". Crossing the border illegally is given the same gravity as committing a rape, robbery or murder. Whether the law is right or wrong is not for you or me to decide, but it is to be OBEYED. If you rape someone, you go to jail for a while and have to register as a sex-offender when released. If you rob someone, you go to jail for a while and have pay the person back for what you stole. If you murder someone, you go to jail for a long time, or you lose your own life. But when you cross the border illegally, you get a job and welfare? That's where our problem lies, in that there are (well, should be, although not always enforced) consequences for committing an international crime, and it should be approached as such.

Although there are serious questions to be answered regarding the Treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo I believe we enviornmentalists, members of the Sierra Club, have great concern regarding urban sprawl and overpopulation. A number of years back we advocated zero population growth and as a nation have nearly achieved it when you factor out immigration and the children of immigrants.
We need to once again set our sights on a nation totalling 310,000,000. That is the physical enviornmental limit this land of ours can support.
Actually with the longer lifespan of Americans our national population may reach 400 million which is another 25%. I hope that there is no one out there who wants to increase the American population. We should advocate birth control in all public schools and give families who get vasectomies incentives. Our national goal should become Zero Pop.
Immigration has provided 85% of recent increases in pop.
It's not about which country. It's about population growth.
If we can provide incentives to immigrants NOT to come it will cost us much less. Our land will become enviornmentally protected if we limit our population. I feel sorry for immigrant families who remain in their countries, but we cannot sustain more people than 1.25 million or fewer per year.

My German citizen mother met my father while he was stationed in Germany. They fell in love, came to the states, and after my mom entered the U.S. LEGALLY and became a LEGAL alien, they were married. She attended college and translated every word of her textbooks into German so that she fully understood the material. She worked two jobs.
She now speaks fluent English, has her degree in Accounting, and holds a head accounting position with a hospital.
What she did is called "being a productive member of society." It's something that I feel a good portion of lower class mexicans should try.
And quite frankly, there's nothing that infuriates me more than reading directions on the back of a shampoo bottle en espanol.
If you come to America, speak the language. Period.

No there are plenty of people who would do those jobs. If I had no job I would do anything. John McCain asked if people would pick lettus for $30 an hour. Well I would. They start by lowering wages,. This is the fault of buissnes owners who hire them at below minimum wage also. Then they don't learn english and now eveything has to be written in spanish too. Illigal imigrants also have higher than average rates of criminal convictions. I realise that life must suck in parts of mexico but if everyone comes here America will suck also. I have no problem with people who immigrate legaly as long as they use english while here. The ones that don't speak english and came here illigaly are the ones that are giving Mexicans a bad name.

I personally am really tired of hearing this stupid question. Why are Americans to racist to stupid mexicans who will do our work for half what is worth? You don't help us by doing jobs we don't want. You harm us by doing the jobs for half what we should be paid for it. Are you really that stupid to understand that? Maybe Americans don't want to do it, but they realize they should be paid what they are worth, not what Mexicans will take because they don't know any better.

Here's the problem.
You're right to a point. I have no problem with Mexicans that come here legally. I do have a big problem with those who flout our laws.
The reasons people don't like them is because:
1 - They break our laws by coming illegally.
2 - They possibly keep wages down for certain jobs, making them unattractive to people.
3 - They have entitlements up the wazoo which are paid for by taxpaying American citizens and legal workers with Green Cards.
My wife's maternal grandparents emigrated from Mexico, legally.
As it should be.
