Cheyenne, WY - I am afraid you answered one of your own questions! Cheyenne is a decent sized town - about 1/2 hour away from Fort Collins, Colorado, and 2-ish hours away from Denver, Colorado. It is WINDY and the winters are snowy, but it is a nice town. I do not know about the base, but I have been to Cheyenne numerous times. Honestly, it is windy - almost non-stop. You just get used to it.
