They use these chilled marble stones in ice cream shop to mix the ice cream and some guy claimed it does something to the flavor so I was just wondering if that was true.

Absolutely not. They use marble because it stays cool and is non-porous--both things you want for mixing ice cream.

I don't think it changes the flavor. I do think that the marble is a hard surface that is easy to clean and stays cold to allow the mixture of ice cream before it melts which is part of the key to their success.

On the company website, there is mention that the stone (marble) is frozen, so this helps the ice cream to stay very cold while the mix-ins are added. I think that is part of their business advantage.

I doubt it, more than likely its just used as a durable board to mix the ice cream and toppings together with an easy clean up.

No, I was in the ice cream business for years and it is a gimmick they use to make the ice cream seem more homemade and fancier.

N my opinon there ice cream taste like poop and it's way too exspensive. I bought a cone and cup for my kid and me and spent almost 20 bucks. I could of bought 4 gallons or blue bell for that. It does taste different to me, it taste more like yogurt.
