In India price of milk per litre is 15 Rs but price of Chesse is 400 Rs per kilo
.Are there any economical reasons, for the high price of chesse(unnecesaary overheads or long production process)?

It takes about 4 gallons of milk to make 1 pound of cheese

because cheese tastes so darn good. would you eat more if it was cheaper?? you bet u would. it's expensive because it is a;most a luxury item, and thats why they can get away with jacking up the price. it's rude. don't forget the orange cheese is full of dye, ever seen orange milk ??

Insufficient demand is the main reason I can think of. I assume you are referring to Western style cheeses and not Indian paneer cheese.
