I've been seeing this guy for about a month. I like him a lot, but he has mild asthma and doesn't do anything about it. So, I can always hear him breathing, especially loud when he eats. His breath is never fresh and his mouth is always kinda sticky and gross, since he breathes through it so much.

His Dr. has prescribed inhalers and nasal sprays, but he doesn't think he needs to use them. Is there any way I can tell him?

We are adults (late 20's) and have only been dating for about a month.

Ok bear with me; there was this episode on Friends where Phoebe was dating a guy who liked to wear shorts with no underwear, and his thing was always showing when he sat down. Everyone was on pins n needles trying to find a way to tell him about it until Phoebe was going to just dump him over it. Until a coffee shop worker said to him "Dude this is a family restaurant, put the mouse back in the house." Funny but he got the message fast and probably was more aware of it from then on.

The trick to giving someone delicate news is to do it quick, precise, and toneless so that it doesn't sound like an insult or a nag. Do it gently with him, but be direct, and he should take care of it if he cares about you.

Tell him this: "Do what your dr. tells you or I'll leave u for good cuz I dont wanna b with a guy that doesnt give a **** about his health!"
A little threat wudnt really hurt cuz its for his own sake. If he's still stubborn keep on persuading and urging him to use what his dr. has given him. Explain to him what the impacts are if he doesnt care cuz i believe any people who talk to him will feel a bit uncomfortable. Show him that you really care about him and I hope eventually he'll do sumthing for his breathing. It'll take time so u need to b patient.

Wow this is tough because telling him he has stinky breath really depends on what your comfort level is with him. So, if you don't feel comfortable with telling him yet... then you better give him some subtle hints like... passing him tic tacs. Or make up some story about someone at work or school with twentyfour seven stinky breath and how it drives you crazy... throw some hints out there girlfriend and hopes he catches on to one of them until you grow comfortable enough to say... dude... PLEASE do something about your breath.

Dude, the answer to your question is right in your question... Its really not that complicated. Just say in a nice way "baby, your breath kindof stinks right now, you have to brush your teeth if your going to kiss me". or "baby, your doctor said you need to be using your inhaler, please do that".

Just be as upfront with him as you are with everyone on here. You don't seem to have a problem with that!
