Goodyears seem to be expensive. Dollar for dollar what is a good choice. I will not be doing any "Rock Climbing" but would like good winter and some minor off road action.

My favorites are the B.F. Goodrich all-terrains. They're not cheap, but they last and last, unlike the cheaper rubber found in discount tires. And when you need it, the traction is there.

I highly recommend Cooper Discoverer ATR's.They are an All-Terrain tire. I have had them on my Dakota and the last set lasted me 50,000 miles. They are quiet on road and are good in snow and light mud. I just bought another set of them and a set of 4 only cost $450 (mounting, balancing, taxes included).
