So there is no scripture that says anything about how old Mary was when she got pregnant with Jesus, this concerns me. I'm starting to feel that Jesus could of been an elaborate coverup for her and Joe...and, no scripture is of Joe after Jesus was 12. Maybe he was pissed off at Joe (like most boys are when they are 12) and started believing the coverup his mother had started and ran with it. Who says things back then weren't like the way they are now. Heck, I don't know why alot more girls today don't do that...oh wait, they'd be put away into the nut house.

Don't spout scripture out at me, don't know who wrote it and don't care.

All the great hero's of history have had so-called virgin births...the Egyptian Horus, ect. Its a very old idea. Mary was not a virgin and actually the bible says that...let me explain...the word that is used to descibe Mary is a greek word that means young woman not virgin. There is a Greek word for virgin but that word was not used to describe Mary. Jesus is considered divine because of this so-called virgin birth...did you know that for over 300 years after Jesus was killed it was a burning question concerning his divinity...the people just didnt believe it. So...the church...which was the only 'christain' church which was a catholic church called a meeting called the council of Nicea in 325 A.D. The purpose of the Council of Nicea was to determine IF Jesus was divine or not. All the big shot Bishops got together and THEY decided that Jesus was divine....a group of catholic bishops ultimatly made this decision 300 years after the man was killed. So since these mighty wise men chose for all of us...we got stuck with a doctrine that Jesus was divine due to his virgin birth.
Consider this for a moment....You have a young Jewish girl and a spirit impregnates her with what...holy sperm??...and if by chance it did happen....that would mean that Jesus was born of a human woman and a spirit being...so Jesus would have been only HALF human and half divine. So how can a half divine Jesus be a blood sacrafice for anything...if he was half, that makes him a forbidden sacrafice, because according to Jewish tradition...the blood sacrafice must be pure...a half bread is not pure..hence not acceptable.

You obviously do or you wouldn't be here writing about it. No, Mary was NOT 12, there is no cover up. Things were very different back then, but God didn't have to go to a 12 yr old girl to find a virgin. She was of age, and her and Joseph was Engaged and he knew about the Immaculate Conception. Remember there are ways to look and see, or feel, if a girl is a virgin. So get over the promiscuous girl bit.

It's called Sacred Tradition.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is the holiest woman that ever lived. It wasn't a coverup. It was God's plan to save us from our sin.

For the other poster

But then you believe the Big Bang caused the Earth to form in its perfect form?

And humans evolved from bacteria.?

No it is not a coverup. You have no faith in God. This act was done by God. If you believe in God than it makes sense because God is capable of everything. But if not, then it is impossible for your mind to believe

Joesph isn't mentioned because he dies when Jesus is a teenager.

For example, when Jesus dies he tells Paul (or Peter can't remember), to take care of his mother, why? and why isn't Joesph with Mary when she visits Jesus on the cross?

I assume he was died, because divorcing wasn't popular back then...

Joe? Whats that all about? Oh, you silly little girl. Aren't;t you too young to be thinking about conspiracy theory's? Once you mature you will realize the truth. Until then you have my pity for your clueless mind.

Did you know that there have been scientifically verified virgin births recorded in history.. it is not a totally impossible thing to happen.. I have no personal opinion on Mary though.

of course it was a cover up. Better to lie than to get stoned to death for getting pregnant out of wedlock.

People who believe in virgin birth are not only in denial but they are also delusional.
