Even in John 10:34-39 Jesus called the pharisees gods.
Jesus often said I and the Father are one.
God is the spirit that flows in every single atom of the universe much like the Native American's perception of the Great Spirit, or the Taoists perception of the Tao.
Since God is in everyone and everything; the entire universe is Gods body.

What that girl meant was that our bodies are God's temples because we're Christians and He lives in us. So yeah, our bodies are His and we should respect ourselves and take care of our bodies so we can serve Him as well as we can.
She could have also been talking about how Jesus says that we are God's "hands and feet" because we all have different functions in the church and life that work together to create what's known as the body of Christ. Make any more sense now? :)

I think she meant this:
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

I know we are the temple of the holy spirit.
I am not against tattoo's but it came from leviticus 19 :28 “Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord

Yes...When you are saved the holy spirit comes to reside in your body.You treat your body as a holy temple.
