i find it so hard to open up to people, but i really need to talk to someone about things that are going on in my life. ive tried to deal with it myself in the past, but it doesnt work. i dont know how to get over my fear of people judging me and not understanding.

therapists have to keep what you say confidential and will tell you from the beginning whatever limitations there may be on that. Their job is not to judge you. That may be a good place to start. Another possibility is if there is a support group for whatever the subject matter may be that is bothering you. You might need a therapist to determine where that kind of group is. Another starting point for figuring that out if you are a woman is a local Women's Center. Whether you are a minor or not does not matter. You can call a center and tell someone what is bothering you and ask for a referral for where you can get help.

Try going up to random people and just talking to them about things like the weather or restaurants. When you find out how easy it is to do this it will be easier to talk to friends about tough subjects.

i think you should see a counselor....they are paid not to judge what you share with them.... it feels good to get it all out of your system. it's always hard for me to say anything thats really important to me even with people i really care about.

first of all we are our own worse enemies- i was once like you-firstly make friends , don't tell them too much about yourself- even those that appear to accept us can turn on us, only confide in long lasting friendships and truely don't worry too much about what others think. no one is perfect and as long as you are conducting yourself respectably and considerately in public -to hell with them- peolple allways want something to ***** about nd you can't make every onre happy. so enjoy your self and join a club to make friends and perhaps a confidence building seminar
