Well sweetie,
Try remembering or getting answers to what you liked about him. Death is never easy. I lost my Dad 7 years ago this time of year and I still get sad it never goes away. You are with him and he's with you in spirit and hold onto that. It will get better, sorry for your loss and I hope that one day you will see the light here. Write a journal of how you feel and say instead of dear diary say dear daddy....and write all how you feel. Answers will come and it's ok.....BIG HUG!

I'm sorry you lost your Dad at such a young age. I my self lost my Dad at a young age. 2 to be exact. I cry sometimes too (I'm 15 now) What I think helps is cry as much as you want for a certain amount of time, then just stop, if you can. Try to do things that make you happy. For me just taking care of my Dogs makes me happy. Plus it's sort of a distraction from thinking about my Dad.

I know alot of people say think of the happy times. It doesn't work for me because I was only 2. It's sad to say, but I don't remember anything about him, just the funeral...

Good luck, hope you feel better.

Dear Ashley,
It's a very old saying but it's very true. The hurting will grow less and less as time goes by as "time is a great healer".
You keep him close to you and he'll always be with you in one way or another, but look forward to your life, theres a whole big future out there.
all the best

See your doctor for some medication for your depression. It will help. When my parents passed away I had a difficult time. I was trying so hard to get over their death. I went to a doctor I didn't know/he didn't know me either. He sat with me and answered my concerns etc. I finally got it when he said, "You never get over the death of a loved one, you learn to live around it." We talked further yet I felt so renewed when I left his office. That day I was able to start my move forward in life. I miss my parents as well but I know they are looking down upon me and I feel safe in that.
Good Luck to you and God Bless you. Pray and ask the Lord to help you with this. Turn it completely over to him.

maybe you can think of all the happy times that you and your father shared. your dad wouldn't want you to cry every night for him, he would want you to get a good sleep so you can be strong the next day. just give it some time and everything will be okay.
