Why is it that some people get subjects like physics so much faster than me. I have to sometimes work 5Xs harder to get the material, where as some people don't ever study and get A's. I mean I don't have a learning disorder, but it makes me kind of mad. For instance, we say that God gives us all gifts and I know that God gave me a gift for singing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but i some times wish i would have been given a more useful gift, like being smarter. I am never going to be a prof. singer and make money off of it or really get that much out of it except sharing it with the people I care about, which is a good thing (don't get me wrong). But, I want to go to grad school and singing is not going to get me in...being smart is. (Not to say I am not smart, but i am not super smart *laugh).

The gifts God gave us are to be used to His glory. I am saying that learning may come very hard you just need to learn how you learn and use that to your advantage. I am a learning disabled, epileptic, ADHD, diabetic, college student that has just learned how I learn(at the end of the semester what use is it to me now that I am failing my first semester I digress). But I said all that to say you are not dumb I am J/K. Use your gifts to His glory and study as hard as you possibly can, relax. seek tutorial, pray and trust that He can answer!!!

Be Blessed :)

I wonder if we were on the same assembly line when God was giving out gifts -- lol. I SUCK at physics or anything that has to do with math. I passed it in college because my professor felt sorry for me. There has to be other things you are smart at. I can write a poem quicker than someone can solve a physics equation. Be careful not to question God about the gifts He has given you. Might not make sense to you, but He sees the WHOLE picture of your life, ya know? Having said that, it has been said that most people only operate with 5% of the intelligence that has been given to them by God. It can be frustrating to have to work so hard at something, but it makes you stronger. Sounds cliche, but it's true. Ask God to expand your mind in the area you're struggling in. I'm pretty sure that b--chin at Him for not giving you a good physics gene isn't gonna help! I wish you much success on your journey. Sing while you're studying...maybe it will help your brain get the physics :)

It's been scientifically proven being "smart" about any particular subject amounts to what parts of the brain are stimulated most often as a child I read a lot so I "get" subjects like History, Reading and comprehension, Literature and Art.I didn't do a lot of Mathematics so my knowledge of converting numbers and the mathematical branches of Science is abysmal. However as long as you are under the age of 23-25 you can still stimulate these parts of your brain and boost your knowledge of subjects you are a little foggy on.After about 25 your brain starts to atrophy and it's a lot harder to learn new information, though.

First you are NOT dumb, DON'T EVER say that or think that again. Your SMART and TALENTED!
You have gifts from GOD - of course you do!
You also have drive and that's important. Find that A+ student and work out a study plan. Get that extra help until your comfortable again, which you will be.

One thing you have to remember is that Gods gift to you is for His purpose not ours. Maybe He would like to hear your voice in a church choir? Then maybe you will become blessed by God in other areas such as physics. A music teacher once told me and I had it confirmed by a math teacher, that a child who is good in music seems to always to well in math, and vis versa.

I would absolutely *love* to have the gift of song. Song can express what words can't. Love the gift God gave you and never question it!

Unfortunately the mathematical reality is that half of us are below average in intelligence... It is what you do with what you got that counts.
