How should I hint at my boyfriend that I wouldn't mind a proposal without pressuring him into it? We already know we can't live (happily) without each other and we can't stand to be apart for very long. He has mentioned before that he thought he was too young to get married, but he's 20 and I'm 21 years old. It doesn't make sense. If he already knows what he wants, why doesn't he go ahead and do something about?

Tell him that you're not pressuring him, but you'd just like to know what his thoughts are about marrying you.

Be patient. Let him propose when he's ready, then you will have no doubt that he's ready to settle down with you. A man wants to ask his girl to marry him in his own way & make it special. Why "hint around" with him? If you are secure in your relationship, you should be secure enough to let him make that move.

Because that is a HUGE life decision. The pressure is already on. Don't force him into a decision.

Why buy the cow when he gets the milk for free? In other words, pressuring him for marriage will drive him away.

Ok you want something that he knows that he's not ready yet, when its time he will ask you, you can't rush these things, respect his feelings, it will work out in the end. If you want to really be happy I wouldn't rush this.

It is, of course, your decision but have you considered asking him?

I know it is a form of pressure but it could, conceivably, be a relief to him. He may simply be afraid of rejection.

Go to the mall and repeatedly walk past the jewelery places and walk in and mosey to the rings.

Don't pressure him...If he wants to marry you he'll ask.
If you pressure him it's only going to push him away.
