If distance is an overwhelming consideration, then one plant should be planted at each corner and one in the center of the park. That adds up to five plants. If you stated an optimal distance between plants, then I could do better than a trivial answer. I am not trying to facetious, I am trying to help. Perhaps you may wish to post a more specific question.
