he seems to get fatter and fatter each year??? isnt this unhealthy?

its all the cookies we feed him!! and im sure mrs clause cooks him yummy diners and if hes atypicl male he sits in front of the tube watching ESPN!!!!!

Because Santa is Jolly and all the storytellers made him fat with a big quivering belly. It may be most definitely very unhealthy for a normal person but Santa is magic and so is protected from having the weight affect his health. Since he has to look,fit the image made by the storytellers wouldn't be fair to have him punished for a body image given to him and not because he ate himself fat.Although he is fond of iced cookies and chocolate milk he actually eats very healthy, Fact is he's a strict vegetarian and why the reindeer are so loyal to him-I doubt they'd be hanging around where they to smell roasting meat in the smoke coming from Santa's chimney. The elves,naturally are vegetarians and Mrs.Claus as well.Why he's so jolly and the elves and Mrs. Claus are always in such happy moods there isn't any bloody mess or any suffering associated with any part of them esp their food. You would be fat too if over half the world's children gave you milk and cookies! I think that perhaps Santa takes all the treats home to the North Pole with him and munches on them all year.

Coca Cola.
The image of Santa that American public if familiar with is introduced by Coca Cola company as a part of their commercial advertisement. Actual "real" Santa is not as fat, especially Santas from other countries.

Have you tried eating hundreds of thousands of cookies with milk in one night?
Plus in the North Pole one must have lots of body fat to keep warm in the cold weather!

Lets see he has elves do his manual labor all year long. He only works one night out of the year and on that night he eats a ton of cookies and drinks hundreds of gallons of milk.

To stay warm at the south pole, plus all those milk and cookies- he spends the year working those off. It's why christmas is only once a year!!!

I supose that it is because a fat and old man personify the abundance and happyness...
I also think that he is fat because he stay all year long resting and just work in the Xmas:-)
