I myslef am an agnostic, but culturally, I was raised as a Hindu and will always claim to be an agnostic Hindu, laugh if you want, I know some people would
But the concepts of Hinduism that appeal to me are those that do not relate to the existence of god but the philosophies of life, and honestly, this religion is all about peace, I've seen it, I have never been religious and never will be, but I have seen followers of this religion and I mean it when I say it's peaceful, I'm trying not to be bias because no matter what, there's always going to be a little bit of biasness
This is from what I have observed-
I honestly, really don't understand how Islam is a peaceful religion? I'm utterly lost when people try to justify themselves for believing in that religion by saying that.. I'm not saying this out of racism because for the longest time I tried to defend that religion and I'm friends with many people of that religion, but people of that religion refuse to accept the existence of other religions, isn't it preached in their religion that there is no religion but there's? And what religion allows a man to have multiple wives? How on Earth can that be justified???? And why abstain from eating pigs when you can say all animals on Earth are dirty, it doesn't make sense at all too me...And the prophet Mohammad married many women, killed many people and I can't understand how his actions can be those of a prophet, I can't see how people kill in the name of God, when I asked my mother if she would kill her family if god asked her to, and she answered by saying, I would never believe in a god like that
I think it's stupid to expect god to test your love of god in such superficial ways, that's not what religion is about, isn't religion about discovering morals and ethics and peace?
One of my muslim friends told me how in the Middle East they'd cut off someone's hands for stealing something and I reacted by saying, that's so extreme, and she looked at me saying, no, he deserved it, and this girl is the sweetest person you'll ever meet, but it's just so weird, how at an early age, Muslim parents are so strict with their kids with the religion, it is stomped into their brains, and just because it's the fastest growing, doesn't make it a good religion, afterall, we've noticed in history how the majority is not always right...

I'm a Hindu. I was born and raised in Christian family throughout my childhood. I was never attracted to this faith/religion. It did not bring me closer to God. For many years, I read a lot about spirituality because I believed in a higher power and wanted to understand who I am and be the best person I could possibly be.
When I started reading biographies about Indian saints/sages four years ago such as "An Autobiography of a Yogi", "Swami Satchidananda" and "Mother Meera", I fell in love with Hindu wisdom and beliefs. I became hungry to know more.
Then I met my teacher Mata Amritanandamayi known as Amma the hugging saint last year. It was destined to happen because on that day, it was an inner knowing that my teacher had appeared when I was ready. So I follow all of Her teachings which are extensive and the best thing I have ever learnt in my entire life. Ever since I've studied under Amma, I have felt so much closer to God, my faith has increased by leaps and bounds. Amma does not preach any religion, just mostly love, selfless service and devotion to God which is universal for all religions. I just love learning and practicing Hindu principles and way of life. It has brought me so much more peace, joy, happiness, love, faith, and beauty into my life since I started on this new path recently. It just fits with who I am perfectly.

Hello:
I practise the religion of Pre-Christian Hawai'ians kahunas.
I practise this path because it answers my spiritual questions.
As a child; I experienced MANY paranormal events such as spirits talking to me, feeling what another experienced, out of body experiences, psychic abilities, remote viewing, seeing future events before they happened, etc.
Over the years I explored almost every religion known to man for a religion that explained how those things could happen. I was very surprised that a 14,000 year old path answered my spiritual questions and brought peace into my life.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saint
I think one of the main reasons I came to this religion was I was not getting all the answers I needed from my local Baptist Church.
I studied many religions for many years trying to understand the trinity. That why it says God has a body in the bible That it talked in the bible of 3 degrees of heaven one like the sun one like the moon and one like the stars. So many questions were not being answered. when I came to the LDS church they were able to answer these questions.
Like I lived before with heavenly father in the spirit world.
I have learned and grown so much spiritually by being in this church. Most Of my questions have been answered and I did not have to wait to get to heaven to find out.

I'm mostly Wiccan. I practice that religion because it makes sense. It doesn't proclaim itself true over others. It does not condemn anybody for their beliefs.
It's not a fluff-bunny religion like some believe, but demands much of those who practice. It takes much more than simply reading "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" and proclaiming oneself a Witch.
My religion teaches tolerance and acceptance but demands integrity. It takes all I have, but offers all there is.

I am a practicing Lutheran. I didn't choose this; God and the Holy Spirit chose it for me. This is the first religion that has actually made sense.
Jesus is at the center of the Lutheran faith. We teach that it is by Grace through Faith that one is saved. There is nothing anyone can do to ensure they will go to Heaven. It is through the Grace of God that we are saved, and we receive that Grace through the faith in the Holy Trinity.

I am pagan. To be more specific, I follow the ideas and teachings of Celtic spiritualism. I was drawn to this path about a year and a half ago. The Celts showed strong respect for women, devised a fairly functional social system and were one with the world around them. Celticism is also a strong part of my heritage. I was called to this and it has made my life better.

By birth I am Jewish but I only ever practiced that for two reasons - a) my mother made me do it when I was a kid and b) my wife made me do it when I was an adult. Now that I have reached the Age of Wisdom - I have given up on it.
