i still loved him and she knew it.. and she dated him anyway although she knew i was devstated.

you have every right to be upset.. i cant believe she did that.. oh my godd,, you know.. ive come to a conclusion that girls are worse than ugly nightmares.. they are too good to be true in backstabbing.. be very very upset.

I would say she isn't your best friend. I love my best friend to death and if something were to happen between her and her husband, I don't care how cute he is, he will always be her husband as far as I am concerned. My previous best friend dated my ex-husband while we were divorced - I don't talk to her anymore, she knew he was my husband and dated him anyway. It's just a tad awkward now since he and I got back together 4 years ago.
You say she knew you still loved him and she dated him anyway even though she knew you were devastated. Does that sound like something a best friend would do?

YES. It is girl code that this is unacceptable. Any TRUE friend would not have done this to you. Be very upset. This guy must not be worth it if he would date your best friend. If he ever loved you he would not do that to you either. Forget both of them and take care of yourself. Sometimes the only person you can count on is yourself.

Of course you'll feel upset, but mostly because she has something you don't... So it's 90% feeling jealous, 10% feeling betrayed. Look for someone else, and don't live in your past.
