I know that there are these little patches out there in the pharmacies that are placed on the bridge of the nose at night and stop the snoring. I don't know if it works with all people but it's out there. I also advise that you should see a Dr. if your snoring is very loud. The other day i was watching the Discovery channel and heard that snoring isn't so good for a person because with time it can cause some memory loss and doesn't allow The person to have a good night sleep. I also heard that if you wake up scaring yourself because of hearing yourself snoring while you were sleeping, it's not good because it affects the heart. Some people even stop breathing for a few seconds when that happens and those moments affect the heart with time. I don't know how true this is for everyone but i think if it's serious bad snoring you should see a Dr. Good luck =)

Take him / her to a doctor. There could be a problem in the back of the throat, or he / she could have sleep apnea.
