You do not go to hell for your lifetime of sin. Jesus Christ paid for your lifetime of sin on the cross so that you do not have to suffer God's judgement and that you are saved from going to hell. But to enjoy what Jesus has done for you on the cross you must BELIEVE that He is your Savior and your Lord. The only reason that you can disqualify yourself from going th heaven is if you DO NOT BELIEVE. It is simply unbelief that stops anyone from going to heaven. It has nothing to do with their sin anymore. Jesus has taken care of the sin issue once and for all. I hope I have clarified the matter for you. God bless you for your desire to understand.

Hell was real for a while. It's a long story but Satan, a bionically implanted robot, tricked God. But he didn't trick Natalie, God's wife. So Natalie and Jesus got together and Jesus came to Earth and gave us God's message.

Ok, Ok, When Jesus got back to Planet H, the COG voted to do away with Hell.
By the way, God is a loving scientist from Planet H, a planet 9 billion years older and more advanced than Earth.
Have I lost you?
well, anyway you are right, Hell is not in God's character. But the religious empires have wrongly described God as all powerful and all knowing in order to scare their followers and grow and maintain their empires.
God is a good parent. like any good parent he does not want to destroy any of his children. However, for those who choose disharmony, he will, after their stay on Earth, he will quarantine them away from Heaven and the harmony-loving people there. Not as a punishment, but as quarantine.

It was especially created for the devil and his angels who rebelled in pride and stubbornness against God and wanted to be in His place although God created them. Thus the battle of good and evil began when Eve with her free choice was beguiled by the serpent (angels had choice also and Lucifer, a.k.a. fiery serpent, dragon, formerly one of God's best praise directors), and then we needed a redeemer for our sins. For many years, the substitution was the blood (in it is the issues of life, why we shouldn't drink it and why witches do in direct rebellion to God) of animals for sins. Quite simply, there's an opposite for everything and that makes it quite balanced. We are allowed to choose our eternal destination while living in this world which is the dressing room for eternity. We have a justice system based on God's principals and righteous judgments in fact. I'm sure you think some criminals ought to be locked up for the duration of their lives for terrible crimes, right? That's why we should weigh all our life's decisions in light of eternity and the good of our souls.

it particularly is a lie that has been perpetuated by using lack of understanding for hundreds of years. there's no eternal torment in hell. The wages of sin is demise, undeniable and straightforward. Now take a deep breath and start up analyzing the bible for your self. edit: to "cbmultiplechoice"...there is one situation including your occasion. The "sub" ain't in hell. he's seated on the superb hand of God. How does that paintings including your "regulations" occasion?

Hell is finding your name in the Book of Life and then being told by Gabriel that you have to clean up Eterinity for Eternity.
What would you do if God gave you a broom and said, SWEEP.

An eternity in hell for a lifetime of unrepented sin. That's the key word. Unrepented.
God gives us our entire lives to choose Him over sin. It's hard, but that's what true love is. God doesn't send us to hell, we send ourselves there. He gave us free will.
Hope it helps!
God Bless. ;-)

Jahova's Witnesses believe that Hell is just a figurative term for death.

It seems that this god creature is so vain and vindictive that if you do not stroke it's ego by worshiping it in a highly proscribed manner, it tortures you for eternity in everlasting fire. Now that sounds like a highly disturbed creature that is hardly worthy of worship or respect.
